We are asking for a manual review of our buy box eligibility. We are the lowest price on several listings and yet we do not have the buy box. Our Buy Buy percentage is at 0 and we would like to understand why. Our ODR is also at 0 and our AHR is above 200.

BUYBOX= to win the buybox it DOES NOT go by the "cheapest"seller. this is not Ebay. heres everything you should know about the buybox:
1. The buybox ROTATES AMONG SELLERS PER MONTH. This means you will never have the buybox forever. Your on rotation.
2. Being cheap doesnt mean youll win the buybox
3. the buybox looks at DIFFERENT factors like: "how many do YOU have available? HOW FAST is your shipping? and the price.
4.THE MOST IMPORTANT THING OF ALL= PRICING CORRECTLY. STOP TRYING TO BE THE CHEAPEST. When pricing, DO NOT BE THE CHEAPEST, instead look at the current buybox is, then look at the pricing for the other sellers. price your item at the same price as the MAJORITY of other sellers (avergae price) or price your item just like the buybox price. Never be the cheapest.
-Example: if an item has a few sellers, the buybox is $20. & other sellers are selling at $20., $19, $18. DONT be the price tanker who comes in and sells it for $17 or even $15.
-SOLUTION: by looking at that info, i would price my item according to the current buybox price or the average price of other sellers but never be the cheapest. i would price it at $20.
***WHY IT DOESNT BENEFIT OR PAY-OFF TO BE THE CHEAPEST IN AMAZON=
Amazon customers like CONVINIENCE. not just cheap. for example, you could be the cheapest but customers may not order from you because lets say your shipping is too long or slow. customers are willing to pay MORE MONEY just to get their items FASTER. thats called convinience. So in this case, you will get overlooked and someone else with a higher price that offered FASTER shipping could get the sale instead of you. this happens allot. its not just about being cheap.
another huge factor as to DONT BE THE CHEAPEST SELLER= YOUR CUTTING YOUR OWN PROFITS TO DUST. Meaning dont price tank.
-PRICE TANKING: is when you see a price and then you say "ok im going to list it for a dollar or 2 less". this menatlity is bad. your loosing all the potential profits for being desperate and price tanking affects EVERYONE, NOT JUST YOU. I'I'll explain...
-example: if the buybox and the prices of other sellers is $50. and lets say you purchased the product for $25. that means that, for example, if you sell it at $50. like everyone else but you bought it for $25. after all the fees, youll have a profit of example $11. okay thats not that bad. thats pricing the same as everyone else. good.
But lets say you see the buybox and other sellers have the average pricing of the $50. and then you come and say "well im going to list mines for super cheap, im going to knock off $10 so i could win some sales. NOPE. WRONG. Now what your doing is listing a quality item for soooo cheap that when it sells, you WILL NOT EARN NO MONEY AND POSSIBLY HAVE TO COME OUT OF POCKET because you might not have enough for the shippping , why? because you were trying to be so cheap and didnt think about your profits, the shipping, the amazon fee per item. this happens allot in the begining learning process. once it happens a few times were you sell something but had zero earnings, youll start learning and realizing thats not good to be so cheap.
PRICE TANKING OR BAD CHEAP PRICING AFFECTS EVERYONE. HOW??? Well, when someone comes in and knocks off a few dollars of their price, then more sellers come on and do the exact same and there starts the dominoe affect of the price tankers. more and more sellers keep knocking off a dollar , 2 dollars, 10 dollars off the price. your lowering the value of the product for what, some sales? your lowering the value of a product but getting barely any profits.YOUVE LOWERED YOUR OWN PROFITS. This affects everyone because now youve lowered the price on a high quality item. so now other sellers that were selling at a higher price now they wont get sales until your super cheap item runs out. after you sell your super cheap items with barely any earnings then the price on amazon goes back up to what it used to be before you came in and everyone can get back to making sales. to avoid all this you could of just listed at the same price as everyone else or this the same price as the buybox. then everytime you get a sale, your profits are high because you listed at the average price and didnt go cheap.
SOLUTION: PRICE CORRECTLY so that when u do make the sale, you actually get profit. think about it like this...."if im selling a product for $50. and im getting good profits and its selling everyday. then you come in and see its going for $50. ....DO NOT LOWER THE PRICE TO BE CHEAPEST. INSTEAD, PRICE the same! Price at $50. remember the buybox roates evenly per month. so if you wait your turn, you will have sales and not only that, you'll have sales with the same price as everyone else meaning higher profits than if you just came in and said "oh im going to be the 1 to drop the price by $10 and there goes your earning-profit YOU THOUGHT you was about to receive= gone. if it was already selling at $50 WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU COME AND DROP THE PRICE BY $10?!?!?!?! THATS $10 THAT could have went to your pockets but because people are cheap, they dont realize they could sell it for the same high price as everyone else and still get higher earnings.
-nobody can win a buybox by just being cheap.
-nobody has the buybox forever because it rotates among sellers per month.
Actually, the exact parameters are proprietary. The Featured Offer may rotate if all metrics are equal (metrics being FBA or FBM, ODR, price, seller feedback, location, transit time, qty available, volume sold in category, etc), but this may (or may not) happen on a weekly, monthly or longer basis.
