I just found out we were auto-enrolled to automated handling time and the one affected order is now late and only shipping options costing ~$57 and up are available for something that is maybe $14-16 at most on Ground shipping.

I turned automated handling time off, but now my handling time is set to one day and the other other option is 0 days. Do they no longer allow 2 days?

Recently, we’ve been receiving an increasing number of emails from Amazon stating:

"Your Amazon listings in the United States are subject to additional approval requirements."

Upon further reading, Amazon explains:

"While we’ve historically relied on our selling partners to list offers for [Brand], we are always seeking ways to improve the customer experience. As part of this effort, we’ve decided to source [Brand] directly from the brand owner moving forward, which allows us to offer this selection with greater reliability. As a result, you will no longer be able to list [Brand] in the Amazon store."

Not only does Amazon change the rules for products we've been selling, but they also give us only two months to sell through existing inventory before it is permanently removed from the platform. The deadline for this is May 11, 2025.

This feels like a blatant disregard for the years we’ve invested in growing our business on Amazon. It's deeply frustrating to see Amazon use sellers like us and then discard us without much consideration. Now, we're being told to sell through or remove our inventory within a matter of months. This feels like a betrayal.

What’s even more discouraging is that this isn't an isolated incident—Amazon has already done this with three major brands, and now it seems they’re encouraging sellers to source new brands that will ultimately face the same fate.

While some people may defend Amazon by saying, "This is what you signed up for," I believe that small sellers deserve better. The government should step in to protect us from being bullied by a giant like Amazon. What’s happening now could set a dangerous precedent for the future of small businesses—one that could push many of us out of the market entirely.

It’s sad that this is the direction Amazon is taking their business. We’ve built our operations on their platform, only to be thrown aside with little notice or recourse. I hope that more sellers and lawmakers will recognize the harm this is causing and work toward protecting small businesses in e-commerce.

Look at their share price and earnings they keep making changes to try and keep profit levels high and all it is doing it bleaeing to death the last sellers and long run hurting Amazon overall as this platform was once the place to go buy all and now mostly made up of garage brands and alibaba KO items.
