TBH I’m usually working through those days and just update tracking on the day it’s assigned/label created.

Even during weekends and holidays when there’s no delivery, the main distribution and processing offices for USPS are still processing mail. My location is picked-up the same as blue post office mailboxes. We ship on every day that the box truck shows-up. That includes two non-ship days: Labor Day, New Year’s Day. Some years they’ll come on Memorial Day and Independence Day (I need to check with the driver that week). The truck never comes on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
