We have a customer that bought quite a few very expensive GPU's from us.
On one of the orders, the customer ordered 2 and said they only received one.
They provided pictures of a box that clearly would hold 2 of these GPUs and said that was their evidence.
We shows them serial number scans at the time of order and showed that they signed for the order.
They started an A-Z claim and they were denied (rightfully), then for some reason Amazon reversed the claim and we lost the appeal.
This is bad enough as we are out $1600 here alone.
Here is that order number: 111-1720240-9741852
This scammer did not stop there, emboldened by their win they started a return on a different order for 2 of these items for $3200 and just sent back a large box that had an empty container of the GPU.
We contacted Amazon with seller support with pictures, informed the customer that they are not entitled to a refund as they did not return the item.
Seller support got their high value team involved and we have reported the customer many times now.
The customer opened an A-Z claim stating they had returned the items.
Seller support advised us not to provide a refund to this customer regarding this.
You can check all of this under case ID 15994746441.
Then the real hit came, as Amazon was investigating the return fraud we received an email stating the A-Z claim was closed as "we issued a refund to the customer".
We did NOT in any way shape or form issue a refund to the customer.
An Amazon agent must have done it when the scammer called in.
We pointed this out in the appeal and all the A-Z claim team did was remove the defect but not return us our money.
Seller support has stated they transferred this to another team and they would reach out to us but no one has.
Here is the Amazon order for the return fraud: 114-0074725-2307401
In short, 1 customer has defrauded us out of around $5k. We have provided proof of this every step of the way with pictures, serial scans and everything else.
Amazon has not provided any help with this at all and even helped this customer commit this when they issued the refund.
Please help as this is an egregious error on Amazon's side.
Again here are the two Amazon orders and the case ID for you to look into:

I appreciate the confidence but I am not an Amazon employee.
As your peer I understand your frustration and will offer what advice I can to help.
First off, Based on your statement you are clearly being targeted. GPU's are a common target as they are easily resold and of high value and somewhat scarcity.
Second, You have options. Amazon is not a Law Enforcement Agency and you are the victim of a crime. You can start by letting the FBI know whats going on. Yes the FBI has a web portal just for this kind of stuff. Go to IC3.com and file a complaint. It takes ~15 minutes and you will likely never hear anything back. BUT, it puts the buyer on there radar and potentially the buyer could be contacted and/or prosecuted.
You can also contact Law Enforcement. Likely the police thats either local to you or the buyer, maybe both. You may be able to file an insurance claim depending on your business insurance, that would take a local police report. If you want to potentially get your money back then you need to contact the buyers local police and put them in the loop.
Also, to get your money back you'll likely have to take them to small claims court. The cost is managable and you can represent yourself. Also small claims is a civil court, so no "innocent until proven guilty" you only have to prove your case with evidence, which you have.
Now, thats all outside of Amazon.
Inside of Amazon lets get these mods involved in your cases. @SEAmod
This suggestion won't help you recoup the loss, but 100% report this to the postmaster AND FBI IC3 unit.
Postmaster is pretty straightforward, provide your evidence to the post office, and that's about as much as it can be done there.
For IC3, file the report under "other", as it covers "non-payment or non-delivery of merchandise ordered online", and in that complaint, detail how Amazon's non-action is assisting in the defrauding against you.
If you could photograph the return box and all contents and tracking number, then see if the tracking number has a weight attached to it. One item may weigh 5 lbs and if they claim to returned both then the box would have weighed 10 lbs. Years ago I won a case when I did this. Also every single large return photograph and video when you open the box as evidence. Once the box is open it may be too late to prove your case.
You can dispute it through USPS, start an inquiry for the items you shipped, USPS can tell by the weight if there were one or two items mailed. Mail fraud is serious, let them handle it. If it was insured talk to them about that to.
Send e email direct to Jeff Bezos, with all the details, he may help you here in this terrible case
Returns are a disaster. We do not list anything on Amazon that we are not prepared to accept a loss on ie high value items over $200. There is just really no protection for return fraud here.
This is why all high dollar and name brand items are leaving this platform as the FREE policy that made Amazon and put many large retailers out of business in the end it is this same return policy that will end Amazon as there is now an entire generation who expects free items no matter what the case did not arrive , wrong item, defective, item damaged blah blah blah.....And if you as a seller say to much to these customers Amazon could suspend your account isn't this platform wonderful!
The reality is, Amazon does not like to pay out of claims over $35.0O, nor do they like to get between a buyer-seller conflict. But you do have other recourses if you are a licensed business in your state.
We pay the local court $35,00 and file a claim against the buyer. We use our state business clause which states, "defrauding a local business to cause harm or for personal gain". We do pat the court to send the legal summons. The date is set and what we want to happen is all stated in the claim. Your county court clerk will tell you what to right.,
The buyers think this is a joke, and every time, as Failed To Appear. We Win. We go after the buyer to collect, and in your case would attach their wages until paid off. We have had buyers pay in a cashier's check, we have attached wages and have had buyers removed from the Amazon site.
Amazon has nothing to do with it and is not involved. Amazon only served as the broker between the buyer and seller.
Sorry you're going through this. The hard reality on Amazon is that small sellers and companies stand no chance. Amazon seems to intentionally make things difficult, often siding with buyers instead of supporting sellers."
Its really amazing after 5 days any moderators at all answer immediately and investigate this WOW WOW WOW
