we are trying to request PRL exemption as our return labels are hit with insane over fee's on UPS, but we have a contract with UPS and FEDEX that eliminates overages..
Every time i upload the template correctly, it stays active for a day, then i request the report and the PRL file is empty the next day.. and then we get a return today and of course UPS charged us 40$ for a return label that i can buy from FEDEX for 15$... this has to end.
WE have a returnless resolution template uploaded for our samples, and that is working.. but the big issue is the PRL exemption, we have the capability and the need authorize all returns and issue our own label.. this worked for maybe 1 day and now back to amazon giving away free money to customers. we are not enrolled in amazon customer service... can you please look at our return settings.. we have it set for us to provide our own RMA #, and to provide a NON paid label to customer.. the area where i can upload a label is not there anymore..

Thank you for these details @Seller_KcEtz9Bkb8qhY
Can you please provide more details about the below?
Did you receive a (temporary) exemption from the prepaid return label program but then it reverted?
Information on the process and requirements for SKU-level exemptions can be found in the below help page:
Prepaid returns for seller-fulfilled orders
Do these items qualify as "High-value items (price exceeding $100) that need special shipping (for example, items that require special shipping insurance)"?
what is pathetic, you addressed the only nonsense feature of amazon... the fraudulent return policy... every single claim related, are denied. "they dont like the color" .. they mark it defective. ITS NOT DEFECTIVE. BOOM WE GET CHARGED.. only because the customer cannot read, did not order sample, and treated our STORE AS TRY BEFORE YOU BUY.. this is not OUR BUSINESS
AMAZON ENDED TRY BEFORE YOU BUY, YET WE ARE STUCK WITH THIS HAPPENING AND WE LOST NEARLY 20K$ LAST Y EAR ON RETURN FEES
Prepaid returns for seller-fulfilled orders
Amazon provides buyers with prepaid return shipping labels on behalf of sellers through Buy Shipping services.
Several categories and subcategories are automatically exempt from prepaid return labels, such as handmade and extra-large items. Sellers can also request exemptions from prepaid return labels for high-value items (price exceeding $100) that need special shipping (for example, items that require special shipping insurance).
Beyond these exceptions, sellers can't opt out of the program as it is currently set up. I passed along your suggestion that sellers be able to use linked UPS account rates for the program.

Again, i have read this same thing about 20x now.. repeating dosent make it right fair or just.... and the warnings i have got for what? being honest? this is a forum?
ALL OUR ITEMS ARE OVER 100$ but when we get a return on a 30$ item and UPS charges up 75$ for return shipping, I WANT TO PUKE IT IS LEGALIZED THEFT.
i personally know Jeff, he is the one who approved our store to begin with. I met him in an elevator in Detroit about 10 years ago, and told him i had 10 miles of fabric i need to sell.......and whala.. here we are...
I reviewed your Case 17101951941 but did not see your exemption request template attached. Can you please share a Case ID where you shared your SKU-level exemption request for SKUs over $100?
You can also follow up with our partner team, who reached out to you in Case 17125255531 and requested additional information.
I shared your feedback with our partner team about sellers having the option to link carrier account for their own negotiated rates for return shipments, as is currently an option for outbound shipments. The team understands that has been requested by sellers, and is discussing that as a possible option for future implementation.

Thanks... I uploaded the template XLS file...
but the support is just boilerplate nonsense.. we should not have to pay $75-100 for returns of 30$ items just because it is fabric on a tube.. we ship on a tube because it does not crease the fabric.. there is ON WAY TO MAKE ANY MONEY ON AMAZON IF EVERYS SINGLE RETURN,AND WE GET HUNRDS A YEAR, COST US MORE VS THE VALUE OF THE PRODUCT TO HAVE RETURNED.
Thank you for following up and attaching your exemption requests to Case 17125255531.
I see that you included SKUs which are not eligible for exemptions due to them not meeting the requirement: "High-value items (price exceeding $100) that need special shipping." will follow up with our partner team about your request, and let you know if including ineligible SKUs creates a processing issue.
"ALL OUR ITEMS ON THE SHEET ARE OVER 100$, one yard of our fabric is 55$, two is 105... simple math.. the 1 yard are not in the file"
Can you please include more details about the above and how it relates to SKUs under $100?
KJ_Amazon
ok thanks.. I just wish this was not so DIFFICULT. how many tickets replies etc etc do we have to go through to fix a simple issue that should NOT BE an ISSUE in to begin with. every day a new problem on amazon
There should not be SKU's in there under 100$, if there are they are in error, but what does it matter? why can they not process the correct ones.. every 2 yard unit and above we have is over 100$ and we did not include the 1 yard units
Per checking.. the wrong spreadsheed was uploaded. i added the correct TXT file ..
also uploaded a fresh FREE return template, which is 100% accurate, but when i pull down a version, it comes back blank.. absolutely mad.
