Purchase of UPC barcode if we are covering it up with FSKNU?
Hello
I would like to send my item for FBA fulfillment. I purchased an UPC GS1 code as it was explained in the instructions. I want to send it in now to the fulfillment center and to have amazon place their barcode on it.
1. Some people here are mentioning we need to cover up the UPC barcode with it? If so, why do we need to have it on the packaging?
2. Can amazon FBA cover it up for us when we send it in (they can put the FSKNU label on top)?

1. You do not have to have it on the packaging. I, myself, chose to just use the FNSKU and I did not purchase a UPC code.
2. Yes but there is a cost to have them do this.

You need to cover the UPC code so it does not mess with their ASIN scanners....you needed it to create the listing
