Customer complaint of non-delivery

How do you handle a customer that complains that the order was not delivered, but the USPS tracking shows that it was delivered 3 weeks ago? Don’t customers realize that the sellers do not control delivery?

Sellers do not control delivery but they are responsible for safe delivery.

If you paid for a signature upon delivery, Amazon will accept that as proof of delivery as will credit card issuers.

If all you have is tracking, you have no proof.

If you bought your shipping through Amazon Shipping, Amazon is supposed to fund an item not received A-Z claim. Sometimes it happens smoothly, with no negative effect on your metrics. Other times …
