Hello everyone,
I have been facing sales drop after 4 pm daily since the beginning of November. Is anyone else facing the same issue, I wonder why is it happening? I guess there is some kind of glitch at amazon.
Please let me know your comments.
Like Jimmy Buffett said, "Its 4'OClock somewhere". As Amazon is a 24 hour site, and there are 24 different time zones around the world, it could be that the majority of your sales are after 4:00pm.
Hello @Seller_APnroZQbNGzBp- and thanks for sharing this experience here on the seller forums.
While other factors may also be at play, it is likely prudent to look into your advertising campaigns to see if any adjustment is needed for these off hours. You can review how to Apply Schedule bid rules for Sponsored Products, and schedule Budget rules for more information there!
Thanks again for looking to these forums, and I hope this proves useful!
Best,
Danny
4:00? The cocktail hour starts around here and probably in many other time zones!
We're seeing the exact opposite. Nothing all day until the evening. They are probably throttling you in the afternoons/evenings.
Don't know if this is related but it's what keeps killing our sales...Amazon is padding the crap out of our transit times...we are well above the 90% OTDR yet they're showing our items won't be delivered until Dec 4-6 or in some areas 4-9!! that's 10-12 shipping days or more, we have our transit time for these areas set at 2-4 days with 1 day handling...and according to our dashboard they are only supposed to be adding .8 days so there's an extra 8 days being added!!!! this causes a loss of the buy box, I'm guessing to drive more sales to FBA listings, if you're seeing drastic drop in sales I would check this out...go to your listings and change the ship zip codes to other areas and see what the delivery estimate is that buyers see...
Its "throttling"
I have no idea why it benefits anyone, but I am certain that Amazon throttles my sales on a daily basis. I have too many SKU at too many price points to believe that I peg an approximate target every single day.
Trust me it's not a glitch. And yet it happen to all of us. Your sales not showing up on certain timing is because that's what Amazon new system intended to do. They want more money out of you. They want you to spend more money on ads rather than taking a portion money out of your sales. They want more and more. That's why your organic does not work with new search system. That's what a Dracula is called. It's not the economy the real factor. It's like your banker telling you it's complicated transaction so that they could you eat it up on your own
I follow my sales and found that most sales are when people are at work following their time zones. A blurry of sales occurs between 4-5 PM in their time zone.
