Holiday season speed requirements for Seller Fulfilled Prime

From November 24, 2024 through January 4, 2025, we’re updating US speed requirements for Seller Fulfilled Prime eligibility that apply to the holiday season.

These updates are designed to help you navigate logistical challenges that can affect sellers and carriers during this time of year, such as increased demand or weather issues, while ensuring that customers have a great Prime delivery experience.

To maintain Seller Fulfilled Prime eligibility during the holiday season, page views of your Prime offers must meet the following updated delivery-speed requirements for each size category:

  • Standard-size: At least 20% must display a delivery date that is within one day from when the customer is viewing your product, and at least 45% within two days (compared with current non-holiday season requirements of at least 30% within one day and 70% within two days).
  • Oversize: At least 5% must display a delivery date that is within one day, and at least 30% within two days (compared with current non-holiday season requirement of at least 10% within one day and 45% within two days).
  • Extra large: At least 15% must display a delivery date that is within two days (which is the same as the current non-holiday peak season requirement).

If your performance falls below these required thresholds, you may lose your Seller Fulfilled Prime eligibility.

To view your speed performance, go to Seller Fulfilled Prime performance dashboard.

For more information, go to Seller Fulfilled Prime program policy.

This is a nice update. Not sure why I didn't see it when it was first published (I found it by searching "speed metric" as I wanted to see if there was a more current thread about the stupidity and unfair requirement of asking us to meet the requirements during the week of Thanksgiving, considering the carriers won't work on Thanksgiving).

It is nice to see a lowering of the bar during the fall holiday season. It would be even nicer to see the bar lowered even further or completely removed during weeks that contain a carrier shipping holiday in the Mon-Fri window. This issue exists on Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, etc. It is not limited to Thanksgiving through Christmas.

@KJ_Amazon because I'm a glutton for punishment I'm actually considering signing back up for another trial. The lowered thresholds MIGHT give me a chance.

1.) But I'm unclear, if i sign up TODAY 11/22 will I automatically transition to the new thresholds in 2 days?

2.) Or if I sign up TODAY will I be held to the original thresholds the entire trial?

@KJ_Amazon also, your image says 20% + 45%, as seen on https://sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/GXCRLXHNJNPE2DHM and https://sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/G202072550

But this other documentation page says 20% + 50% at https://sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/G201812300

Can you get a final answer on which is correct?

@KJ_Amazon- last week's Speed Metrics data shows that Amazon provided promise extensions (i.e.: they 'padded' delivery dates 2+ days) on nearly 100% of our items, causing us to show 0% 1- and 2-day delivery estimates. We're not alone in this (see forum post link below).

Is the SFP team giving everyone 'amnesty' for last week because of this? It was already going to be awfully hard to hit the metric with a mid-week holiday, but the extreme level of promise extensions made it completely impossible.

It is nice to see that the SFP Team didn't issue compliance strikes for last week, a week impacted by extraordinarily high rate of promise extensions by Amazon. It remains frustrating that Amazon will not proactively communicate about these things, though.

Can someone please define "page views" for me? I've gotten a few different contradictory answers.

To be clear, a "page view" is not an "impression", but rather when a customer actually clicks on the link

Also, a page view counts against your metrics when you have the "buy box" is that correct? Only when you have the buy box?

Wold really love some clarification on this.
