Hi Sellers,
Welcome back to the Listings Lounge. For those who have never created an ASIN, we wanted to talk to you about the necessity of a GTIN. Lots of Sellers run into lots of issues trying to create new products in the catalog but get stuck because they are missing this important attribute. A GTIN (Global Trade Item Number) is an industry-standard product identifier used to create new product pages and offer listings on Amazon. What are the eligibility criteria for not having a GTIN/UPC code associated with the product?
Is there a risk of exemptions being granted to products that already have GTINs, but resellers or other parties want to create a separate listing?
