Read onlyI have a problem with my VAT registration.
I have a sole proprietorship.
I applied for Amazon VAT services to get Germany VAT registration. The certificate I got only has my legal name and not business name.
Now I am being told that there is a data mismatch and I have no idea what to do.
The more frustrating part is it's not even my fault to begin with.
There is a reason why I registered for VAT services to begin with. To make things easier. Now it's causing nothing but trouble
In this case your legel name is your busniess name. You need to remove any fantasy business names from you SC account.
I have a sole proprietorship.
Hello!
The miss match is between the data you registered at your Amazon account and at your DE vat registration process held by the local tax office.
Ask your tax advisor to retrieve this data from your tax account and proceed with any change required , so as your data to be correct and identical.
That has been resolved. What Im saying right now is my VAT issue has been resolved and Amazon has approved. but my items are still showing out of stock
Hi @Seller_y9rqww3zaFYkS,
My name is Gala and I would like to help you with your persisting issue.
I am glad to hear that you could already solve the VAT issue and that Amazon approved/confirmed your VAT info.
Could you kindly share more information about your items showing still ''out of stock'' ? Did you receive any Performance Notification from the Tax team with instructions about how to restore your items? What is the exact problem you are facing when checking your inventory?
Thanks for sharing this info in order to help you solving the issue.
Kind regards,
Gala
I sent my products to Amazon FBA warehouse before applying for a VAT registration. After some time the system prompted me to provide valid Tax number. Since my VAT registration application was still in progress I wasn't able to provide the Tax information in the given time frame. As a result first my listings became inactive then my account.
After providing the information and validation of it my account became active again. In the performance notifications I see that my FBA settings were restored (I also took the steps that were given in the notification)
Unfortunately no matter how many times I contacted Amazon support my listings are still shown as out of stock
Hello @Seller_y9rqww3zaFYkS,
I can see that you already opened another thread for your question about the listings showing as out of stock and @Rachelle_Amazon is already helping you there. Therefore I will close this Thread now as your VAT address mismatch was resolved already.
Best Regards,
Emma
