Unbelievable how Crappy Amazon Has Become.

I cannot believe how difficult Amazon has made it to understand their polices and how they intentionally delay, obfuscate, and fail to answer reasonable inquiries. I have been trying for more than a month to find out why I'm getting orders that Amazon demands I fill within 24 hours. (I think one was required to be filled the same day.) This is completely arbitrary and it's unreasonable - and I never agreed to it..

Contacting seller support is a waste of time - the first person I corresponded with didn't have enough command of English to even understand the query. The next one just ignored the additional information I sent and cut and pasted her original response.

I' sold successfully on Amazon for at least a decade. I took a year off because of illness in my family and care taking responsibilities. Starting up again, but it's just not worth the hassle. So I'm out of here - fortunately there are other platforms. Good luck to everyone.

Hi @Seller_3l3HtSvMpnNWE,

I hear your frustration about the handling time requirements changing while you were away. Let me share what I found in Amazon's help pages that might explain what's happening.

Back in October 2023, Amazon changed their default handling time from two days to one day. You can find this information at https://sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/GAGMYMUUPJB4XPJ9 under "Why did the default handling time change?"

The good news is that you can still set longer handling times for specific products that need more time. The help page at https://sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/G202167920 (under "Modify handling time") explains how to do this through Shipping Settings > General Shipping Settings, using either the Manage Inventory tool or inventory file templates.

Here's something that might also help: According to https://sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/GB96WHU9AT74W2T3 (under FAQ question #5), orders received after your cut-off time don't need to be shipped until the next day. The help page states: "All orders received after the order cut-off time must be shipped and confirmed no later than the next day after the order was received." The default cut-off time is 2 PM local time.

I know getting back into selling after a break can be challenging, especially with policy changes. I hope this information helps you adjust your shipping settings to better match your needs.

Best regards, Michael

@Seller_3l3HtSvMpnNWE just wait until you find out they hold you (SELLER) accountable for carrier issues or weather that causes your orders to get to your customers late. Things that our outside our control

Amazon will take "severe" weather into account but a weather delay is a weather delay. It should not matter how bad the weather was. If any weather causes a delay that is not our fault.

And if UPS has mechanical issue, that is also your fault.

You can open cases but you will get no where with Amazon awful suppot.

We have already had our SFP account deactivated a few times due to this.

Or how about Potential High Pricing Error so we will remove item for sale or all the price suppression going on with Buy Box Removal basically making ALL listings without a Buy Box also unsellable due to Amazon suppression! Amazon is a manipulated unfair marketplace that promotes fraud!

Amazon is a colossal sh1tshow now. All the problems and they keep creating new problems. Next major problem will be their insane destructo-bot AIs changing all of our listings attributes. Amazon is determined to turn their own site inside a dumpster fire.

9 year seller here. Been our own income. Closing down this year. The scales have tipped and it's not worth it anymore. Really sucks because this has been a good business for us. But no more.

Place is a complete joke, way too many policies that are way too vague; impossible to adhere to everything.

Bottom line, if Amazon wants to suspend you product or account they will; the amount of effort to get them back is crazy and at times impossible. There is literally no security or stability here, proceed with caution if you sell here.
