With so many threads about sellers getting the shaft, caught in the middle of the finger pointing between Amazon and UPS, I wanted to quickly share my experience.
UPS label purchased via Buy Shipping.
UPS lost the package which contained a plumbing part valued at $24.95
Customer refunded $24.95
I started a new claim for a lost package online with UPS. I checked the box that I was the shipper of the package.
Claim was approved and supporting documents were requested as is the SOP with UPS claims.
At this point, due to this being an Amazon account, there is no way to upload the requested documents, the claim simply says call UPS for more information.
Calling the 1800 number is a waste of time as you will end up in a rabbit hole that will test your patience like they have never been tested before.
What i did was call the claims dept of UPS directly at 800 4302055
I told them I was not sure if I started the claim correctly and asked if they would check it for me. I then asked them to send me the supporting documents via email as i was not able to upload them online.
They emailed me the forms. I filled them out and sent them back as a response to the email.
10 days later a check was delivered to me.

They could definitely have an easier claim process...
What a process, @Seller_3wzBczgcWe0Ch! I am glad that this worked out for you, but it certainly could be easier as @Seller_HWMMpfA7lubQn said.
