Read onlyOver night, betweens the hours of 5pm yesterday and 9am today, I have had over a 100 listings appeared as search suppressed, with the product descriptions and unit counts magically disappearing. Of course I have gone through each one and reentered the requested info, but nothing is changing per usual.
What do you guys to to address issues such as this and even more importantly, what can be done to avoid this totally.
Suppressed listings have always been a problem for us, but for over 100 to appear over night really make me think that this is a system issue more than anything.
What can we sellers do to have this issue brought to the attention of Amazon for a solution to be provided.
Please let me know what you all think and I look forward to hearing back!
@Danny_Amazon Can you assist me in looking into this. There is obviously something going on in the system causing this issue.
We have in last 2 days over 30 listings deactivated.
In May 2024, my listings were suppressed due to inactive inventory for FBA even though they were inventory at FBA . After multiple attempts, Seller Support was able to resolve this issue. Per seller support, case 15253981001, they recommended me to do a full update of the listings using Feeds.
There's a video from Seller University shows how to download and upload the spreadsheet. https://sellercentral.amazon.com/learn/courses?moduleId=3082eb7c-7ac5-44bd-aa5a-8414b229255f&ref_=su_refined_search&modLanguage=English&videoPlayer=youtube
These are the steps to upload and download the spreadsheet.

Since I already listed the products, I chose this option:
1. List products already in Amazon's catalog.
2. PLEASE NOTE: I recommend to upload 1 ASIN first to see if it's successful before entering all of the other suppressed ASINs.
As for my case, it's importance to select the correct fulfillment channel code, which is AMAZON_NA, please chose what appropriate for you on the spreadsheet.

Below is the email from Seller Support. I did not do step 5 below because Amazon did not accept my file saved as Text (Tab-delimited), instead I just saved the file as Excel and uploaded.
Follow the steps below to do that:
Step 1 - You will have to first download the product specific template for the SKUs that you are trying to update. For your convenience, I have attached the link for product specific templates : https://sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/G1641
Step 2 - Enter the SKUs
Step 3 - Enter the correct details for the all the mandatory information the respective cells
Step 4 - In the "Update/Delete" column, please select 'Update' for all the SKUs.
Step 5 - Once feeding all your data, save your file. In "Save As Type" list select Text (Tab-delimited) (*.txt).
Browse to where you would like to save the file, rename the file, and click Save. You might see a warning that the selected file format (the tab-delimited file type) does not support workbooks containing multiple worksheets. Click Yes.
Step 6 - Upload your file from the page below. Make sure you select the appropriate option from dropdown menu. In this case you will need to select 'Inventory Files for non-Media Categories' https://sellercentral.amazon.com/listing/upload?ref_=xx_upload_tnav_download
Once you have completed the steps, allow a time frame of 24 hours for the issue to get resolved. Please be informed that Seller Support cannot update on your behalf.
@Seller_kQazScAvpx0oZ
Our listings have all sorts of issues over the fact the flat file from Amazon calls the back end of the product_name (first column) something that uses a prohibited term for the category. So whenever I use a flat file to update the listings, it automatically causes the ASINs to get flagged.
It sounds like you got hit with their bot. Something on the listing is causing a trigger. Could be anything from "all natural" to a brand name on the backend KWs.
My personal steps is to call the catalog department (ask ss for catalog) and ask them to run the listing for any compliance issues. They have a program to do this. I have a log of "words you cannot use" for each category and keep them documented as a template.
Update all listings (front and back end) with anything trigger-wordy removed. Then hope to g-- appeals reads your information. They usually don't.
My goal is to not deal with suppressions and maintain the life of the ASIN. Once it gets removed, trying to update anything is a headache.
Also, don't use H10 blindly or any other KW engines, it is easy to accidentally use prohibited terms and phrases with them.
Good Evening @Seller_kQazScAvpx0oZ,
It looks like you were able to get some advice from seller's who have been in a similar situation as you when it comes to search suppressed ASINs.
If any of their replies helped you, feel free to mark it as “Most Helpful reply” using the 3 dots in the corner of their post. This helps other sellers find the answer to your question at the top of the post just in case they find themselves in a similar situation.
I understand you have also reached out to Selling Partner Support regarding the suppressed listings on CASE ID ending in 8271. The team is requesting more information from you so they can continue troubleshooting why your listing was suppressed. Please follow up with them as soon as possible so they can help you work through this issue.
Look forward to hearing from you soon. Have a good rest of the week.
Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon
Each time I get a deactivated listing it goes on another site. Amazon has gone so far downhill there is no coming back from this insanity.
