Read onlyThree times I have had customers scam us on the same item. They buy the deluxe $100 version and return the standard $35 version. The first two times, the customers' return reason was that they received two. I filed Safety Claims, but had to appeal over and over to just get part of the difference in value back. The third customer claimed that we shipped the incorrect item. Knowing that this was incorrect, I proactively contacted Amazon on the phone to see if there was someway to stop this return or at least to stop the full refund happening at first scan. They said that there was nothing that could be done and that I should just charge a restocking fee when it shows up. I had to tell the customer service rep that it isn't possible to charge a restocking fee after Amazon has already refunded in full at first scan. It would be nice if seller support already knew that themselves. So, back to trying a Safety claim again. How much should I ask for? Amazon states that we can only charge a 50% restock fee for an incorrect item return. That makes no sense. I shipped out a $100 item and received an item that I don't want that sells for $33.25 right now. If I ask for more than 50%, will my claim get rejected. Should I ask for $66.75? I really don't want what they sent at all, but I guess I have no choice.
Thanks,
Chris
