Countries
Read onlyI am in the process of setting up my Shipping Setting Automation and was wondering if there was a way to select certain shipping services for certain states as part of the standard shipping option. Currently, every state is selected and is greyed out unable to change it. So whatever shipping service I apply, gets applied for all 50 states.
My goal is to have the states closest to me be on 2 day standard shipping, farther states on 3 day shipping, and the remaining states on ground shipping.
If anybody knows how to do this it would be greatly appreciated!
Configuring shipping services based on the proximity of states in Amazon Seller Central can be a bit restrictive due to its current settings. However, you can try the following steps and tips to manage your shipping settings more effectively:
Shipping Templates:
Go to your Amazon Seller Central dashboard.
Navigate to Settings and then Shipping Settings.
Create a new shipping template by clicking on Create New Shipping Template.
Set Shipping Regions:
While creating your shipping template, you can define custom shipping regions.
Choose Create New Shipping Region and name it appropriately (e.g., "Nearby States", "Mid-range States", "Far States").
Assign States to Regions:
Assign states to these regions based on their proximity to your shipping origin. For example:
Nearby States: Assign states that are geographically closer.
Mid-range States: Assign states that are moderately far.
Far States: Assign states that are the farthest.
Set Shipping Options for Each Region:
Once the regions are defined, you can set specific shipping services for each region.
For Nearby States, set the shipping service to 2-day shipping.
For Mid-range States, set it to 3-day shipping.
For Far States, set it to ground shipping.
Assign Products to the Template:
After creating and configuring the shipping template, assign your products to this template to ensure the new settings are applied.
If the interface still restricts changes to individual states, you may need to contact Amazon Seller Support for assistance. They might offer more advanced options or solutions specific to your account.
It's Amazon and they are not in synch with businesses that ship things through traditional channels.
They believe that one shoe fits all because THEY have hundreds of warehouses polluting open spaces all across the country so that they can deliver in 2 hours or less.
You can do that on your own website (HINT< HINT), but NOT on Amazon until they actually value the Third Party Sellers that pay the bills.
