Adding a new listing with the new way of doing it for handmade is a black hole.

I added a new listing using the new listing recommended for handmade about 2 weeks ago and it worked. Not anymore. What happened? I tried it again, but more than 48 hours later the listing is still not showing anywhere in my catalog.

Thinking that maybe I missed something, I added another one starting from scratch. After submitting I got a pop up saying "Thanks for submitting your listing. If approved, changes will be reflected within 24 hours. You can now copy this listing to add a similar product to your catalog." I used the Copy to add another product button to create another 3 listings, hoping that everything will work as it was supposed to.

More than 24 hours later none of the new created listings show up anywhere in my catalog, they are not active, inactive, suppressed etc., they are simply non-existing. Am I the only one with this problem? Can I go back to use the old way of adding new listings so I can send my products to FBA sooner rather than later?

After digging around some more, I found my listings in Complete your drafts section (they were not drafts, but published listings), with the following description error:

You are receiving this error as you may be adding Offer-Listing(s) or editing a SKU not present in your catalog or one that’s been deleted. If this was a deleted SKU, wait 24 hours before resubmitting it. If you tried to add this SKU to the Amazon catalog before, check your data and correct any errors before resubmitting. If product is being added to a marketplace from another one, it may require few hours for localization before it is valid, please check your seller account for progress or any issues.

The button to the right gives the option to edit draft, but there are no flagged issues to need fixing. After resubmitting I get the same "error" within minutes. Those are brand new SKU's. At this point the new listing experience is nothing but a nightmare. Anybody can offer any help?

@Seller_zrC49l8WulKwFI just made a new listing using the new listing experience and it is showing in my inventory and live within about 15 minutes. I did not use "Handmade Products" as the starting point category. I used the category that my items are migrating to in standard search. This still populates the "handmade, hand-altered attribute" option and still has the teal handmade at the top left corner of the live listing. My issue with this is that it is being categorized under standard category which has a 12% fee but I am being charged the higher handmade fee of 15%.

@Joey_AmazonQuestion: Why are we being charged the higher fee percentage when listing through this new listing experience? This may be good for those that are listing in standard categories where the listing fee is higher than 15% but not for those of us listing in categories with a lower fee rate. We were told by mods in other posts that the handmade fees when listing under this new listing option are lower than standard category fees. I am definitely not seeing that.

I had the same issue. It could be several different things:

If you were previously brand registry exempt, they have done away with that. You either have to be brand registered OR list your new products as "generic" (checck the box that says "this product doesn't have a brand"). All new items I list are GENERIC. All of my older listings still have my brand name.

They also changed the layout of the "add a product" page. You have to change the category manually to handmade. That option doesn't pop up under the recommendations for product category. You have to hit the button that says "CHANGE" (or something of that nature) and scroll down to select HANDMADE...and it will bring you back to the normal product categories you are used to seeing under HANDMADE.

Hope that helps!

The way I understood it, that is exactly what the mod said not to do, because the new attributes for handmade like handcarved, hand-altered, etc will not show up. I don't know about the brand waiver being done away with, al I know is the new way of listing worked as intended about two weeks ago, but it doesn't anymore, at least for me.

Is the listing under Jewelry? Jewelry is NOT my primary business but sell some basic pendant necklaces. I tried to add a new item over the weekend. I had started it, saved to drafts, and then came back to finish it yesterday. It completed and entered a black hole. It is not active, inactive or a draft. It is just gone.

I have been approved for the category, and have successfully added new ASINs under "clothing, jewelry, accessories" but the pendant necklace is just gone.
