hi, I’ve been a 3 P book seller for 20 years. I do OK. when ever they “fix” or “make changes” to a PERFECTLY FINE page, it makes it harder for me.
some programmer needs to look busy to keep his job, I guess.
manage your inventory, today is CHANGED up. and I HATE IT. put it back. much harder to read, harder to go down the page and edit, change prices, match prices, etc.
grrrrrrr.
thanks

Bumping your post. Mine just changed in the last couple days too. Agree that it makes everything harder.
Amazon/@SEAMod - is that the goal??? To make things more difficult on sellers???
Have the people who plan these changes ever actually USED Amazon???
For anyone who hasn’t seen it yet, instead of all the data for one listing being on neatly presented in one row like it used to be (and SHOULD BE, who would think it should be otherwise??? No one who has ever used a spreadsheet…), it now looks like this:
Below your shipping template name, are several additional items, including -
You can click the ‘view more’ link, to open an extensive blocking of the data you’re trying to work with, if you feel so inclined. The full view looks like this -
I * do * think seeing the competitive price is interesting. Although my opinion of Amazon’s ability to correctly determine any fact is still firmly in tact -
They provide a very vague description of where their ‘competitive price’ comes from, but I can assure you that the $73.51 is nowhere near the ACTUAL competitive price for the product from the above screenprint.
But let’s assume Amazon can someday pull their heads out of their @sses and determine a competitive price in a reasonable fashion. This would be a valuable piece of data, but it belongs as a unique data point, in it’s own column within Manage Inventory, just like every other unique data point.
Whoever came up with this - let’s put 3 or 4 data points together and display them in a multi-line format that obscures the data being worked with and disrupts the flow of what the user is trying to do - should be fired.
No one should be allowed to develop new tools or features that DOES NOT HAVE PERSONAL EXPERIENCE IN ** USING ** THE SYSTEM.
Can’t you just make every data point a single piece of data and make every one one of them sortable??? It’s so obvious, but…
OK…instead of column options, we’re now forced to view featured offer and lowest price “columns” underneath our price+shipping field in that column (now joining the underneath shipping template field).
Which süx.
Those are no longer options for their own columns (which I personally kept enabled!).
IMHO, it’s a bizarre way to view important data and offers no benefit over the previous actual-column view.
Why, Amazon? This is bad design if…
Those are NOT good enough reasons not to offer a column view option.
