Just as in many businesses, customer give tip to the business owner or workers for good services. Can't this also be done on Amazon? The customer can give an extra tip to the seller for that they very satisfied with. A button should be placed on the Amazon platform. Customer should be able to give tip as well as feedback. Is this such a crazy idea? What do you think about this "Tip for good sellers." idea?
Tip? Do you mean money or advice?
Sounds like you mean money. No -- that will not fly.
I don't like the idea. I tip in restaurants and a few other situations -- but I have never "tipped" a retail sales business beyond an occasional "keep the change" -- nor do I intend to start.
Instituting such a feature just makes the site looks grasping and greedy. (Because it is)
LOL tipping is already out of hand in general, it would be funny as hell if it makes its way into ecommerce as well.
Good service should be standard. You are paying for good service when you buy an item on Amazon or anywhere else. If you get less than good sercvice, then a complaint is in order, or in Amazon's case, negative feedback.
I am amazed, though, how many customers write us to ask "Please can you pack this item well so that it is not damaged in transit.?" They have clearly had experiences of less-than-good service if they have to ask this. OF COURSE we will pack the item well also that it is not damaged. That should be a minimum expectation. Nothing special. And certainly doesn't deserve a tip!
Tips have gotten out of hand in last 2-4 years. Literally anywhere you go, everyone adds tip option on the receipt. I used to feel quilty not giving a tip, but not any more as some place absolutely abuse it and make client feel aquard.

Amazon would charge you fees on that option or find a way to take that for their own.
