Brand removed from Brand Registry

Currently, one of my brands was removed from the Brand Registry.

"Our concerned team has completed the investigation, and as per the update, I would like to inform you that the brand has been removed from the Brand Registry because another brand ID (68587) was created to represent the Intellectual Property (IP) #"

These are two separate brands, and we never requested them to be merged. Now, I am unable to edit the listings under the brand name that was removed, and we are no longer listed as the "owners" of the brand.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue? How can we resolve this?

Dougal_Amazon

Hello @Seller_rUEQBTGxVpFoV,

My name is Dougal from the Community Manager Team and I will be happy to assist. Thank you for the case ID's I was able to see the brand's merged and I think I figured out why based on the response on case ID 16976431281.

To avoid listing the brand names here, I will refer to the brands as BBB and BB (if this is to confusing to follow, please let me know).

Please, go to the "Manage intellectual properties dashboard," under the "Manage," drop down on the brand registry site. You will see a list of IP's for BB and the TM# of BBB is listed there. I think this is what triggered the merge.

There are several Administrators on this brand as I am sure you are aware and the brand is active in other stores outside the US. It may have been done by one of them.

Your best path forward is to remove the TM of BBB from the BB brand. IF you or any of the other Administrators are unable to do it yourselves, Brand Registry Support is the best equipped team to assist with this.

Once the TM of BBB is no longer associated with BB, I would open another case with Brand Registry Support to request BB and BBB to be split because they are separate brands with separate TM's.

Unfortunately, it seems like the fix will have multiple steps, but I think this is best to illustrate to the support teams that these brands are separate and should remain separate. Please keep me posted on progress and case ID's and I will determine where I am able to step in and assist or escalate.

I hope this helps and please let me know if you have any questions or run into any issues at any point along the way.

Best, Dougal
