Is there a way to have someone from Amazon Handmade review my account? I went from $7,000 in sales in February to less than $500/month beginning this past August.
This feels like way more than normal market fluctuations, and I'm worried I'm missing something.
Go through and read some of the posts in the handmade forum. We are all losing sales with the removal of categories and sub-catagories in handmade. Customers can't find our products because everything is lumped together.
@Seller_ERE3hTXMWyLhdThis has been an ongoing issue for more than a year and is affecting sellers at different times as Amazon is making drastic changes to where and how our handmade listings are seen. Otherwise known as the recategorization project.
I had a handmade manager who was supposed to be looking into why my sales and traffic dropped so drastically overnight (since Feb 2024). She looked into my stats and verified there was a serious problem and she promised to research the issues, contact internal and handmade management but... she never did and then she stopped responding to emails months ago. I was an over 6 figure handmade seller. Keyword was.
I was making $600 a month and now I’m making about $60 a month. That’s a 90 percent drop in sales.
It’s not my products my sales on Etsy have doubled and I sell good on Makerplace as well. It’s not an ebb and flow problem. It’s not an economy problem. It’s seriously an Amazon problem.
Amazon has ruined Handmade with all of these changes and there seems to be no one who wants to fix it.
Can I ask what you all are doing to try to stay afloat?
I was thinking about trying to list the same products using the new category system.
Thanks!
