I think something wonky is going on with On-time Delivery Rate. We have never gone below 90% and usually don't even go below 95%. The last couple of weeks our rate keeps dropping daily until now it is at about 80%. All of our orders have been shipped on time and often before the promised "ship by" date. All of our other metrics are excellent.
When checking tracking, most of the problem orders show a delay somewhere along the way, usually in Jacksonville FL, the bane of Florida's shipping. They are terrible but EVERYTHING goes through there.
I don't know what more Amazon expects us to do.
Do you use Amazon's buy shipping when you ship? If not your OTDR will get hammered. You have no protections if you don't use Amazon Buy Shipping.
Same here. I'm at my wits end with this issue. Before AHT and SSA, our metrics were all perfect. Since then, our late shipment rate dropped because Amazon set everything from our 3 day handling time to 1 day ship time.
We requested an exemption from AHT for items with customization cause those take a little longer to process. We were granted a 3 day extension, so we thought all was good, but apparently not. All of those orders with the exemption do not qualify for OTDR protection, so our OTDR rates have plummeted and no matter how fast we ship out, the OTDR rates do not come up.
Long story short, this corrected our late shipment rate issue but now OTDR is way down.
It seems the only solution is to pay a shipping price that exceeds the price of the items you're selling.

Did you purchase USPS Ground Advantage shipping label using Amazon Buy Shipping from March 6 to March 11 for those delayed packages? There is a thread about USPS seizing packages for "postage assessment".
USPS delayed due to a required postage assessment (Buy Shipping issue)
Many sellers have reported the issue. You may want to join that thread and tag some of the mods.
If you check any of the "delayed" package's USPS tracking number, you should see a message like "Your item has potentially been delayed due to a required postage assessment." at the USPS tracking page.
Yes I did. Thank you for letting me know, I will definitely look into that.
Thank you, I'm going to check into this.
Hello @Seller_C2NiEkAU4xTGT,
I understand how challenging it can be when facing On-Time Delivery Rate (OTDR) metric issues. This is a performance measurement that can significantly impact your business.
Please save a copy of your OTDR report as this information measures a 14 day window and is continually updating. Having this saved report will help us better address your specific issues.
Something you mention is using Media Mail or what shows in the shipping service area of an order as: USPS Bound Printed Matter. This is a less expensive way to ship books and I totally understand why you would select this. When trying to verify if this shipping method is considered standard, this is what I found: "USPS Bound Printed Matter (BPM) is not considered standard shipping, it's a specific class of mail within Package Services, offering lower rates for certain bound printed materials, but it's not the same as standard shipping. " This may be the reason for the confusion.
Please review: Amazon Buy Shipping protections
To help us better address your specific issue, please share either a case ID or relevant performance notification. We would be happy to review the details of this issue with you.
I look forward to your response. Thank you for reaching out on the Forums. Wishing you the best.
