Account deactivated and I am a new seller, I need some help

Hello,I am a new seller and have not made any sales so far.

Last week, I received a performance notification email stating that my account has been deactivated due to "added, or continued to add inaccurate product information to product detail pages."

As a result, all of my products have been delisted, and I need to submit a plan to get my account reactivated. I am willing to submit a plan detailing how I will rectify the issues with my product detail pages. However, since all of my products have been delisted, I am unable to view the specific problems on my product detail pages, and there are no violation notices on my account status page either.

I want to know the specific issues that need to be corrected on my product detail pages. Without knowing where the problems lie, how can I make the necessary corrections? Has anyone else experienced this issue and could help me?

Is submitting a corrective action plan as per the performance notification sufficient for passing the review and getting my account back? If my account has been deactivated erroneously, how should I explain the situation to have my account reactivated?

In advance, thank you all very much for your help.

Thank you for the information provided regarding the recent issues that have impacted your account. I understand from the messaging that it was related to the activity around your product detail pages. I know this can be difficult as the listings that you had were removed from your inventory, and I do want to provide some insight to assist you.

When approaching this situation, you want to consider all aspects of the listing process. Do you create your own ASINs or do you add on to other offers? If you are not the creator, have you attempted to make changes to any of the listings you added your offer under? Have all the changes you have attempted for any listing been accurate to the product?

We would advise on reviewing any and all previous activity you have had to try to identify the concern. It will be vital to identify the root cause as without this our team will be unwilling to move forward. If you have any other details you would like to share, please continue to refer to this thread for support.

Best,

Atlas

Hello @Seller_vMo0sg9XpvTBe,

I appreciate you following up on this.

I created my own ASINs, and regarding these ASINs, I have applied for a GTIN exemption. I used a spreadsheet to upload products in bulk, and after successful uploads, I did not make any changes.

Can you provide examples of the ASINs you created that may have lead to this situation? Are you aware of what attributes were added to these listings that would cause a violation?

Upon inspection, I found that the issue might be due to using HTML encoding in the product descriptions. As a new seller, I sincerely apologize for my carelessness and unfamiliarity with Amazon policies which led to this mistake. In the future, I will adopt a more rigorous and serious attitude towards writing product descriptions to ensure such issues do not occur again.

Can you further elaborate on what exactly was included? How did the HTML encoding cause a violation? This will be very important information as an appeal will be required to address the holistic situation.

I am not sure if the root cause is indeed the HTML encoding problem as the listing has been deleted, and I really can't find any other issues.

How should I write an appeal to get my store account reinstated? I have recognized my mistakes and hope that Amazon can give me another chance.

A root cause should be completely understood to properly appeal or dispute a situation.

  • You will need to research and fully understand what exactly took place, how and why this happened. Specific details show you full understanding of the issue.
  • Include What you did to resolve the mentioned root cause, how did you correct any other remaining issue you may have found?
  • How will you prevent future concerns related to this situation? Specify how exactly you will manage compliance when creating or updating listings in the future. Be aware this needs to be directly associated to the root cause.

Due to the type of situation a plan of action expressing a full understanding, corrections and prevention is in place. We will ask for a very detailed explanation of what ASINs were added, what details you included and how you understand these attributes caused the violation. Have you corrected the ASIN, or reviewed your inventory to confirm all remaining issues were fixed? Have you provided steps on how you will maintain compliance moving forward? I typically recommend what I consider an actionable implementation. This is where you advise on what you're doing, providing specific details on how you will action them, how often, what does the process entail and how it's relevant to the root cause. This create a loop of compliance that offers confidence in your next steps and if you're eligible for reactivation.

As I do have limited visibility into what you may have already provided, I would ask that you post your most recent appeal here so I can offer guidance or next steps.

The forums community and I are here to support you. Please let us know how we can help you from this point forward.

Emet.
