[Now Closed] Ask Amazon - GET ANSWERS on Brand Registry Image Guidelines on April 15th

Welcome to our Ask Amazon Q&A with the Brand Registry partner team, focusing on your questions about Brand Registry Product Image Guidelines!

_____________________________________________________

⚡️ What You Need to Know:

The Brand Registry partner team will answer all your questions posted in this event thread on April 15th from 8 am - 5 pm PDT.

🔍 Key Details:

The Brand Registry partner team has been listening to feedback from our sellers and understand that the image guidelines for Brand Registry applications can be challenging to navigate. Because of this, they have updated the Brand Registry Application Guide, a step-by-step guideline that details the enrollment process through self-service registration, to include a new section on product image guidelines.

For more information on this new addition, please read through this thread.

💡 Submit questions below!

Post all your questions below! Our partner team will be reviewing the questions that come in throughout the day (as well as those submitted in advance), and we’ll do our best to respond as soon as possible during the day of the event. For this specific event, here’s a list of sample questions you can ask the Brand Registry team:

  • How many photos do have to submit during the Brand Registry application process?
  • I don’t have the product yet with my brand name, could I use a computer generated image for the application?

Given the global nature of these guidelines, we're hosting Ask Amazon events across multiple regions. In addition to this US event, sessions will also be held in the following countries:

Our brand has been approved to sell on Amazon. We have many small products with different variations. Some items have 32 different variations and they are shipped in small sealed mylar envelopes. We have a label maker to attach the labels on the envelopes. I have submitted the image and I am denied due to "sticker". It is not cost effective to have the mylar packaging made for every single item and variation of our products. It would more than triple the packaging cost.

How do I proceed.

Why do nutritional facts get moved to the second image on our gallery? Any way to change this?

HI, I am a registered Brand owner and all has been fine for a number of years. Recently our brand has been incurring some problems. Our items (we only have 2 now) has the brand name in the title, for example if the brand name is "BigCheese" and my item title is

"BigCheese version 2 cheese slicer" , when I edit the prduct title it shows correctly as I have created it, but on the amazon.com site the brand name is omitted in the title and shows as "version 2 cheese slicer" (note the omission of the brand name at the beginning) . I have raised several support tickets to have this corrected and now I am told the following response below.... (see bottom of post for long winded poor template reply)

The reply is really unhelpful, it has made the listing lose sales, so, today I raised yet another ticket and got the same standard answer, I said but I'm now losing sales becasue of this and was told, "so would you like to opt out of the experiment ?"

To which the answer is obviously yes, I didn't even want to be in it in the first place, why doesn't anyone communicate these things to us in advance instead of messing with the product titles without realising that just stripping out brand names from titles will have a negative impact. I have been told a case has been raised for me to opt out

"Okay, I have raised the issue as you want to opt out from the experiment. We will get back to you as soon as we have any updates in this case itself, Case id 17590390371"

The problem started on Amazon.com but has now migrated across to our listings on .CA too, is this going to happen on all other amazon catalogue sites, so do we need to opt out in every single country or can a global opt out be done please ?

The unhelpful template reply

Hello from Amazon Brand Registry Support,

I'm happy to provide information about why your brand name isn’t shown on the search result for product title ABC123

To improve the customer shopping experience, we have launched a new way to show product titles that brings the most important information about the product and brand to the forefront with the focus of driving higher conversion and increased sales.

In certain cases, we are giving more space in the title to displaying additional product features that will be more helpful to the customer instead of the brand name. Brand names will continue to be displayed on the product detail page in the "Brand" byline.

Brands that do not have their brand names shown in titles, but want their brand names to be displayed, can focus on building a stronger brand by communicating their unique brand story and value proposition with Amazon tools like Brand Stores, Posts, A+ Brand Story, and Sponsored Brands.

Furthermore, brands can keep their customers engaged and better informed by communicating with them via Brand Tailored Promotions and Customer Reviews. By using these tools and creating high quality content, sellers can make their brand names more relevant and more likely to be displayed in the title.

Have a great day!

Hello fellow sellers,

My Brand Registry application was rejected with this reason:

"The documents provided are not acceptable for Brand Registry. The images should not be computer generated and must be of the physical product you intend to sell on Amazon."

"the product images you provided do not display the brand name permanently affixed to the product or its packaging. "

However, I want to clarify:

My brand name is permanently printed on the actual product (not a digital addition)

All submitted photos were taken by myself of the physical products - no computer editing was used

My Brand Registry application has been rejected multiple times due to photo issues. I've used GIF format and high-definition images with multiple angle shots. I'm completely exhausted by this. Case ID: 11020063772.

I need guidance on how to pr

Well, let talk about the sample question. " don’t have the product yet with my brand name, could I use a computer generated image for the application?" If we do not have physical product yet, or the product is a general product that does not contain any particular branding, what does Amazon want to see?

Can you help me with getting the image changed for my product. It keeps reading that there is text in the image. But the Policy says if there is TEXT it must be part of the product and it is. I have opened case after case and I have even edited the photo 10 or more times but it will not replace the image with this better option. I removed all questionable text like the PEEL on the strips I took the company info that is on the labels OFF I still cannot get them to accept my images. CAN YOU HELP ME? I have a bunch of kits with labels, and I am so afraid to change any of them even if it is to better adhere to amazon policy because they might get LOCKED like this listing did. I want to comply, but this has become IMPOSSIBLE.

My BRAND STORY is not showing up on my products. I made a support ticket 6 days ago but never got a response (which is common). Also just to put it out there my ads account was suspiciously suspended when I made changes to spend A LOT less since they were not profitable. I contacted Ads support but only given bot responses.
