A ridiculous Return Shipping Adjustment for $234.30. Safe-T denied to reimburse us and no reason was given

A mysterious return shipping adjustment for $234.30 appeared for an 8 lbs sound bar a customer returned. The original return request was approved automatically and the buyer was sent a prepaid UPS shipping label for $7. But a few days later, this mysterious return shipping adjustment $234.30 appeared for this less than $100 sound bar. I opened a Safe-T claim, and the $7 was refunded to us, but not the $234.30 adjustment. After denying reimbursement of us the amount 4 or 5 times, they closed the case by saying that we had already been reimbursed the $7. And they refuse to share any information about the $234.30. It appears that Amazon just robbed us of that amount. That is totally unacceptable.

The order number is 111-8661221-8473008.

Btw, the actual size of the package is 36x5x6. Even UPS mistakenly put the dimension as 36x36x36, I doubt the shipping charge will be that much. Who is responsible for correcting this charging mistake?

We've faced similar issues with Evri applying unexpected additional charges. In our case, they've charged us roughly £184,000 for "adjustment" fees, but these charges were never disclosed or itemised in our regular monthly invoices from last year. Like you, we only received a massive backdated (last year 2023) charge recently , with no prior notification that these "adjustments" would be applied.

We’re considering escalating this to the CMA and FCA due to what we believe to be unfair billing practices and will challenge this legally - This is a scam we believe these adjustment were not part of rate card we received.

Please be aware of this issue moving forward.

£184,000 for "adjustment" is a massive amount. Our largest loss was from FBA inventory adjustment. Some were probably stolen that they can't recover. They will use this adjustment to reduce the inventory and say these inventory adjustments were never received to avoid reimburse us.
