Hello friends. I am new seller. I am on FBM. I added 3 items and they were ok, but now I am trying to add another item with variations and it asks for External Product ID. As I understand if we mark product as Generic Amazon gives Product ID. But now I don’t know why it doesn’t. Who can help?
Okay, so why if you have an exemption are you trying to add an external ID?
Delete the listing, Go to Seller University and watch these modules in the List products topic.
Wait 24 hours, because we need to give Amazon’s system time to clear caches and such (The internet isn’t really all that fast sometimes, it just looks that way).
Then try again, this time Don’t touch the fields External Product ID Type or External Product ID. You don’t want to have one. You want the Exemption instead.
Make sense?
GS1 is the answer. But you should probably spend some quality time at Seller University, before you muck this up. Amazon isn’t very forgiving of Sellers for mistakes, accidents, or Acts of God.
Thanks for answer. As I understand if product does not have any brand that means I can apply for exemption. I tried, and it says
But when I try to add product and choose ASIN it again shows error message

you have a lot of information, maybe you know why in my listing for product description there are lines. And Only first line is showing in product page.
and in product page
Probably because line breaks <br/>
are no longer working and being stripped (despite still being permitted in Product Detail Page Rules). And it appears that most of the content is not in compliance with Apparel size standards policies.
But this is just a guess, maybe somebody that actually sells clothing, etc. would be better positioned to answer that.
