Our company sells what are defined as "pesticide devices" by the U.S. EPA. For the past 6+ months, we have been receiving angry messages from customers who have been receiving used products. We have created numerous Seller Support cases about this issue. We have been told my multiple levels of support that this is a standard practice by Amazon and that we are unable to do anything about it.
It is actually illegal to resell used "pesticide devices" as "new". Yet, we keep being told by Seller Support that if Amazon inspects the returns and they look unused, they can place them back in to new inventory. Obviously, what is happening is that Amazon is not thoroughly inspecting every unit in the package before deciding to place them back into new inventory.
This has been a super frustrating issue that is killing our business and angering Amazon's customers. Moderators, we have exhausted all avenues with Seller Support and would appreciate any help you can provide in getting Amazon to quit putting returned merchandise back into "new" inventory.

It is very important to our business and it is something that is leading to a bad experience for Amazon's customers.

Thanks for taking the time to post. It sounds like during the FBA returns process, your units aren't correctly getting marked as unsellable. Unfortunately there isn't an option to have returns automatically returned to you (something that's been discussed here on the forums for years). Have you reached out to Seller Support to make them aware of the issue, and request an investigation into why these units aren't being marked as unsellable upon return?
