Ship FBA RTS items in a plastic pack rather than a corrugated shipping box.

Hi

I would like to ship my AMZ RTS items in a plastic pack rather than a corrugated shipping box.

So the contents will be AMZ RTS items but packed in a string plastic wrap rather than a corrugated box.

Thanks for your help!

Hi @Seller_iHd3mxxfeszdt,

According to Amazon's shipping requirements (Shipping and routing requirements), under the "Packaging shipments" section, all shipments must:

  • Use a rigid, six-sided box with flaps intact
  • Not use string, straps, or over-wrap (plastic or paper)

The help page recommends using a new, single-wall, corrugated shipping container with a high burst- or crush-strength stamp. You'll find the acceptable box types listed under "Acceptable standard boxes":

  • Regular slotted carton (RSC)
  • B flute
  • ECT-32 (edge crush test)
  • 200 lb./sq. inch (burst strength)

Using plastic wrap instead of these approved boxes could lead to your shipment being refused at the fulfillment center.

Hope this helps clarify the requirements!

Best regards, Michael
