We corrected a calculation error that resulted in inaccurate values for the Featured Offer percentage metric in the Business reports.
Due to this fix, you may notice an increase in the Featured Offer percentage metric for some ASINs.
To review your Featured Offer percentage metric, go to Business Reports and click Detail Page Sales and Traffic report to the left of the page. You can view the report by date or by ASIN.
What effect did this have on sales? Was this a reporting error only, or an overall conversion rate error because the buybox was glitching?
How can we recover spend from ads, when they were more likely to not convert? (we clearly recognized a down turn on our conversion rate through paid advertising)
Many Thanks
@Danika_Amazon
You mean "by SKU", not "by ASIN", correct?
And for the "by date" metrics, the buy box percentage is supposed to be for all SKUs (it doesn't match the Buy Box rate reported in e.g. Seller Central) or for the SKUs that sold (I can spot check a date and see that's unpossible for the SKUs sold and the rates for those SKUs)??
Buy Box rate is reported in several places, it's inconsistent, and in no place does it match the rate that I can hand-count (based on the inventory page, which currently shows the wrong featured offer price, due to us putting items on sale on Amazon (a mistake we won't repeat)). I have a long-running case that's being ignored on this very subject. Right, @Topher_Amazon?
This data is such garbage, that I can't believe anyone would pay the extortion money, um, I mean the ad fees to sell on the platform, which is a function of that data.
These reports are great, but can we get a specific, searchable, bug reporting page for seller central? It would eliminate lots of calls and emails to support, if we could post bugs, see the status of the various parts, what regions it affects, and later, what sellers need to be aware of going forward.
A little transparency would go a long way to boosting already shaky seller confidence in the platform.
Hi @Seller_T9kM09IWecfG3, @Seller_r9wMm8LrE5iKj & @Seller_OChH0VD9utdxq,
You all brought up valid questions and I've taken them to the team to see what insights they can provide.
I'll follow up with you on this thread when I hear back!
