How to disable Prime Saturday delivery for NON-supported Saturday zip codes to the boonies?

For SFP/FBM Prime, I have Saturday enabled as a delivery day. I always ship Prime orders with Fedex 2-Day exclusively.

I received an order with guaranteed Saturday delivery, and my usual Fedex is not an option. I also checked the address manually in Fedex and it verified Saturday delivery is not available.

Instead of paying less than $9 to ship it, it looks like USPS Express at $26 is the only option 😒

QUESTION: Is there a way to prevent this WITHOUT removing/disabling Saturday delivery for everyone?

I see the option to change which zones are offered on each Premium shipping option in SSA, but this is NOT a zone issue, as zone is not tied to whether Saturday delivery is available or not.

What I'm most annoyed by is that the "Shipping Service used to calculate Delivery Promise" *IS* with Fedex 2-Day.... yet Amazon's system KNOWS Fedex 2-Day with Saturday delivery is not offered here 😡😤🤬

@Bryce_Amazon you commented on my old post here

"Amazon will automatically make a delivery promise over the weekend if the carrier enabled in your shipping template actually delivers over the weekend to the customer ZIP Code."

----

Can you help me to understand if/what I misunderstood for the new current issue in my new post here?

Amazon promised 2-Day Saturday delivery to an area that does NOT offer Saturday delivery using the SSA Premium shipping options I configured, see below.

Notice I did NOT add USPS EXPRESS for Two-Day Delivery in my template. But USPS EXPRESS is the ONLY shipping option that Amazon provides for this order, because Fedex 2-Day Saturday is NOT offered for this order.

@SEAmod can someone help with this? I have ticket 15798608591 for this issue.

It was escalated and I received this response:

"There is an internal fix for this issue that our program is capturing.

Mike, The Seller Fulfilled Prime team"

-----

I wrote back:

"Can you confirm if the fix you reference will prevent this exact scenario from happening?"

-----

Amazon response:

"We do not have additional information to share at this time.

There is an internal fix for this issue that our program is capturing.

Mike, The Seller Fulfilled Prime team"

-----

🙄 well thanks Amazon for nicely just telling me to F off. But this clearly sounds to me like an admission that there's something wrong in the system, but god forbid you ask anybody to clarify OR even ask when it'll be solved.

It wouldn't be unreasonable to ask for a reimbursement of Amazon's own mistake that caused me to have to spend $17 more than I should've if the system worked properly while waiting for the "fix" that the "program is capturing" per Mike in SFP team. But honestly I'd be happier to just get actual clear answers to my questions instead of the money.

The outstanding questions are:

1.) TO clarify that the "fix" per Mike in SFP going to solve my exact scenario... where Saturday delivery is promised on an order where Saturday delivery is not offered to the zip codes using the Premium shipping options I have chosen in my settings/templates. (I'm concerned that "Mike" didn't actually acknowledge the issue in his own words, so therefore I'm not clear that he understood the actual issue AND that the initial response in this ticket from regular seller support very clearly tried to claim this is a non-issue and is intended 😒)

2.) What's the ETA for fixing?

3.) What change should I make in my settings/template temporarily to prevent this exact issue from happening? It's now Thursday again, this problem could happen again today for 2-Day or tomorrow with 1-Day. A SFP with Saturday delivery already came in, but luckily for Amazon it's a zip code with Saturday delivery available from my chosen carriers.

@Bryce_Amazon thank you!! To clarify question #3 for a temporary fix, I suppose I could disable Saturday delivery entirely while waiting for the "fix"... but is there any other better option that has less sales disruption potential?

Having to turn off Saturday delivery for ALL orders because of the customers that live in the boonies seems kinda harsh. But also spending $17 extra for each 'incorrect' order Amazon's system allowed gets expensive real quick.

Support has only given us the run around during the past half a year we have been asking about it.
