URGENT - All subcategories for Handmade have Disappeared (now in correct forum)

@priscilla_amazonand @KJ_Amazon (sorry, not sure why it didn't post in the right forum the first time!)

Not sure how long it's been this way, but I just noticed that all of the sub categories for handmade have disappeared. The information is still in the category listing report, but isn't being used on Amazon.com (see enclosed pictures, but I also have a loom recorded that I can't post here). When you are in a listing, it does not show the subcategory in the product details section:

img

it does not show the breadcrumbs at the top of the page:

img

the actual page for subcategory BSR's doesn't exist anymore,

img

and on the main Amazon BSR page, Handmade doesn't have a hyperlink anymore that opens into the subcategories.

img

I think this is one more thing that is having a sales impact for the handmade category because correct categorization has a huge impact on how items are shown on Amazon. Can you have a team member look into this ASAP? Thanks!

(And even though I know it's a huge exercise in futility, I also opened a case (16323357271) so you can get someone right on this.)

A (natural) consequence of the project to move Handmade listings to "normal" Amazon product categories? Said project being undertaken (supposedly) because (deluded) HM sellers thought it would improve visibility ...

"and on the main Amazon BSR page, Handmade doesn't have a hyperlink anymore that opens into the subcategories."

This in effect really limited the number/type of HM products that are showcasing on the Bestseller page.

This must be a recent change, I looked at "HM Bestseller" a few days ago, and the subcategories links were still there.

Hi @Tahmi,

The new experience unlocks an array of benefits designed to help improve discoverability of your products and may accelerate your sales. These updates will change the way customers see and interact with your Handmade products.

What are the key benefits of the new listing experience?

* Handmade products will appear when customers search and browse in standard categories

* Better discoverability from refined product searches

* Access to enhanced search and detail page content

* Inclusion in Seller Central’s Listing Quality Dashboard, which you can use to improve your Handmade products’ listing quality to drive sales and reduce returns

* Ability to list a single ASIN in eight marketplaces

Best regards and thanks for choosing to sell on Amazon.
