I have combed through dozens of past posts and not found a resolution. Has anyone here successfully figured out how to resolve this?
-When listing a new product designed and owned by my company, I receive code:
The SKU does not match any ASIN and contains invalid value(s) for attributes required for creation of a new ASIN."
-I’m using UPC codes that I own and purchased over a month ago from GS1
-I’ve spoke to 7 phone support reps with no resolution
-HELP!
Just wanted to give everyone an update for those interested in this issue or who might be experiencing this issue. I had 3 GTIN codes from GS1 that I could not create listings for on Amazon. I created tickets for support in Seller Central for each of the 3 codes.
It took some back and forth with the support reps but after some time they eventually did reach out to the ‘internal team’ that resolves this type of issue. Once I received an update in Seller Central that the issue was resolved I waited 24 hours before attempting to create listings with the 3 GTIN codes.
I’m happy to report that I was able to successfully create listings for my 3 new products.
My suggestion if you’re having this issue; open a ticket in Seller Central support. Be very clear and concise about what the issue is. Of course, be polite. Sometimes the support rep will assume their response will resolve the issue and close the ticket, don’t be afraid to respond/re-open the case if still not resolved. Supply screen shots of the error you’re seeing. Also, be prepared to prove the GTIN/UPC code is legitimately from GS1, that it’s licensed to you or your company, and that you are the brand owner or have permission to sell/list whatever it is you’re trying to sell/list.
One last note. If you know you’re going to be creating new listings in the future it may not be a bad idea to make sure you have available GTIN/UPC codes now. Don’t wait for the last minute to acquire the proper GTIN/UPC codes.
When you try to add product, if you input the upc, is it linked to a product?
I know you just bought it. But check if it’s being used. If it’s, you need to fix that. I’ll tell you how.
Thank you. I don’t have any drafts. I spoke to GS1 to confirm all my codes are valid and show me as the owner. They said sometimes you have to submit GS1 certificates for approval to Amazon to manually approve them. This is the first time I have had this issue.
That’s my next step a file upload. Phone support is the absolute worst I feel like I’m going to have to figure this out myself.
I’ve been having the same problem with real GS1 GTINs I purchased weeks ago too. I’ve created a bunch of help cases over the last week and have gotten no resolutions. It’s incredibly frustrating how incompetent Amazon is at fixing their bugs in a timely matter.
I’ve also tried flat files and got a similar error messages…
I am also facing this error while uploading a new product through a flat file and my GTIN is also approved by AMAZON.
8567 Error SKU xxx does not match any ASIN and contains invalid values for attributes required for creation of a new ASIN.
Is there a way we can flag a mod who might be able to escalate this issue.? This seems to be happening to a lot of people lately
I am brand registered with Amazon and I’m trying to create three new listings using GTIN codes purchased directly from GS1 and I’m unable to do so. I am prompted with a ‘The SKU does not match any ASIN and contains invalid values for the attributes required for the creation of a new ASIN’.
When using the standard ‘Add a product’ web form. When I tried creating the new listing using a flat file I get the same error.
I’m not sure if standard Seller Support understands the issue, is there a way we can escalate?
Some encouraging news… I just received an update from one of the tickets I created in seller central. So, it looks like some parts of Seller Support are trying to resolve the issue.
Support indicated that the GTIN/UPC I submitted the ticket for was approved and to allow 24 hours for changes to be reflected in the catalog. By this time tomorrow, I will be trying to create that listing again. I hope it works and I hear similarly good news for the other GTIN/UPCs I created tickets for.
Also received the:
“We request you to kindly wait for full 24 hrs and try listing your product with the UPC:XXXXXXXXXXXX or with GTIN: XXXXXXXXXXXXXX to overcome the issue you are facing.”
Has been 24 hours, I tried to add the product again, no success…
