There is no way to opt-out. Amazon is trying to spread the inventory cost to all sellers, so they increase that fee.
the placement fees are outrageous!
I’m going to try larger shipments but ones that have 10x the number of SKUs weren’t being broken up fully, leaving one if not two of the three options greyed out.
If there isn’t a cheaper way to get product to Amazon it’s going to mean a significant portion of my products won’t be worth sending to FBA and I don’t have the staff to move that all to MFN. Which means these products may not be offered at all. And what’s more, this is BEFORE the new terribly thought out low inventory fees roll out, which were supposed to be contributing to the cost of placement in the first place. This is crippling Amazon. You know, scalping us only works while there is skin left! Have you considered the FBA and Referral Fees you’re going to lose in this money grab? You’re cutting of your nose despite your face!
@Bryce_Amazon @TaylorR_Amazon
Could you please provide an update on this new fee?
Is there a way to split up my package into smaller shipments to save/remove the placement service fee? Or just opt out all-together?
this new fee is really bad. like really really bad.
do FBM. There is no way around this. Possibly splitting up shipments; however, the additional shipping fees may be the exact or more. I have already started removing a lot of products to send into FBA
Mine is $170 for one box. Was $12. I won't be sending anymore inventory for FBA. I didn't realize this was going to be an upfront cost. And the "low inventory fee" coming up in April? Not sustainable for me at all. I will never make profits if I am spending this much upfront. I don't really have the option of raising my prices either. Plus the returns! Shew!
I have the opposite problem. Mine shows only the amazon optimized split while i wanted the partial or minimal
Very bad, it brings more trouble to sellers to replenish inventory, because the shipments have to be sent to FBA warehouses at different addresses!
Dear Amazon,
It is worth noting that you can shear a sheep many times, but skin it only once.
Sincerely,
Every 3p seller
Yeah I am lost on where the other options are here. We are supposed to be able to opt out but as you can see...NOPE
This is a large additional charge for a shipment that normally costs $17-$18 only.
Is this the new norm? How do we pay an extra $50 for shipments without passing it onto customers.
How can I leave this service?
