I just pray that Amazon will come to its senses and supply sellers with policies that are reasonable, pages like "Manage All Inventory" that are returned to their Workable and efficient original state, and Seller Support second to No other on-line company. That would give me the time to do my job so that I can satisfy Buyers to the ultimate degree. That will certainly help me to boost or manage my business during slow periods more than anything else.

When amazon sales are slow, I spend my time moving inventory to eBay where the fees are less expensive. (This isn't easy with the new amazon "improved" Manage Inventory page.)
Look at the Forums once in a while. You never know, you might win a $100 Amazon gift card! (and learn a little too)
constantly monitor key words. They can change frequently. Also make sure you have targeted top competitors with ASIN campaigns.
Use the slow times to increase your inventory for the holiday season. Come up with an average monthly income, and budget based on that.
Just let it flow, focus on your product and customer service, and that's it. You can't control the site's traffic or the economy, so don't get bothered by it. Sometimes, it is not your fault.
