Not accepting selling applications
I am the Brand, we manufacture the product, and I am getting a message when trying to create the listing that Amazon is not accepting selling applications. Why is this?

I don't think being the brand and/or manufacturer has anything to do with it. This category is so oversaturated, I think Amazon is trying to clean it up.

Maybe your brand is being used in another category by another brand owner.

Thanks for contacting us. I am sorry to hear that you are having an issue creating new listing. As your brand is only approved in Brand Registry for Grocery and Wine, if you are trying to list in any other category, it will restrict you. If you want to sell in other categories, you will have to ensure they are part of your trademark and work with Brand Registry to get the other categories added.

Two ways they gate. Category and Brand. Category- Many are closed. Best to check with Amazon first.
Categories get closed because people will rebrand , sell at a higher price or list counterfeits on popular items.
There is also sometimes quality restrictions
There is also seasonal restrictions
As others have said, there is also too many sellers already
Maybe try listing it in a different category if it fits in multiple. Many of the products we sell for example can go into Hardware, Plumbing or industrial Scientific. However don't list Vitamins as bedding, that might get your account dinged. Make sure it fits.
