Amazon is so clueless and is here to waste time for sellers on all levels

ASIN got flagged for some "noxious weed" regional OR State removal of listings. The ASIN was for a D&D gaming miniature for gaming / collecting. We appealed with explanation. Again, this is a listing for a miniature figure for a role playing game. Here is the response.

Amazon Appeals,

Hello,

We received your appeal, but we are unable to reactivate your ASINs at this time.

Why did this happen?

The product detail page for the ASINs indicated in the next paragraph is not compliant with our policies.

What actions do I need to take?

To reactivate your ASINs, remove the prohibited content indicated below from your product detail page or provide additional evidence of compliance:

ASIN: B082DSRY83

Recommended changes to be done: Kindly provide relevant product images and sufficient information about product in detail page for further review.

This product has been identified as a noxious weed in the state of Oregon. Although permissible for listing on Amazon, these products are not permitted to be sold into Oregon because of Oregon state law. If you disagree with this determination, please update the product detail page with the scientific name and common name of your plant product. @Seller_SNSeO3kgywz44,

The issue in that listing is the word woad.

Woad (in addition to being a word used in a game) is a noxious weed that can be used to make blue dye.

@Glenn_Amazon The bigger issue is that Amazon's take down bot is so stupidly simple that it is only looking for the word woad and not the context of the use.

That item is a PLASTIC TOY FIGURINE. If the Amazon bot was coded better the listing wouldn't get taken down for just using the word woad. It would not match the Boolean of "woad" and "plant" because it is "woad" and "figurine"

The goal should not be to "appeal the issue" but to acknowledge the deficiency and write better code, Amazon.

@Seller_SNSeO3kgywz44,
