Read onlyToday, I've come across 4 or 5 orders for small, inexpensive items (under $10) where USPS GA was the method used to calulate delivery promise, yet it's not going to arrive in time unless I use something faster, and lose money on the order.
Anybody else? @KJ_Amazon do you have any insight?
Hello @Seller_hJdM92O55ePVb I see that you also also monitoring the forums thread:
Amazon Buy Shipping Broken - All Orders "AT RISK"
Amazon recently adjusted USPS transit times. This included longer delivery times for USPS Ground Advantage shipments, which have been called out by sellers in this and related threads.
If you manage your own handling/transit times, keep in mind that transit times were adjusted to account for packages taking longer to deliver, and check that your settings to account for this.
For sellers using Shipping Settings Automation: I have shared reports with our partner team of SSA-calculated services not being protected in Buy Shipping. Please check your more recent orders and those over the next few days and let me know if you continue to see USPS GA (or other services?) showing as unprotected.
In the meantime, I have raised this issue to our partner team. If you receive an order where the shipping service used to set the delivery promise does not show as protected, you have the option to use that service although it will not be Claims/OTDR Protected. If you do use an unprotected service and experience issues, you can raise the issue to support and to the forums, and I can attempt to escalate the appeal request.
GA has a long standing issue - they closed a couple of regional locations and opened a mega center that has failed from day one to move anything thru in a timely fashion. We file 'lost packages' going into GA often
Phili is another PIA facility, Houston too.
