Read onlyThis is the link to the FBA inventory reimbursement policy on shipment to Amazon claims: https://sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/GEYPWTSQRTXXXMVB)
As per Amazon's policy, the window for filing a claim for shipments to Amazon is nine months after the verified delivery date. For example, if the FBA shipment is delivered on December 1, 2023, the 9-month claim window would be up to August 31, 2024.
However, there are instances when some fulfillment centers report missing units after the shipment was reconciled, which could be 5 to 6 months later. In such cases, it's unclear whether the verified delivery date still applies for the 9-month claim window , or if the counting starts when the new missing units are identified.
Moreover, since it's time-sensitive, does Amazon provide notifications for these missing units so we can respond promptly?
I'm seeking clarification from the mods, as the Amazon reimbursement policy does not explicitly address this scenario. Thank you.
Hi @Seller_F0BUjD6FATy2F,
Dominic from Amazon here, I have not seen an instance where a shipment is closed all units accounted for and then 5 months later some of the units going missing. In these unique cases if it did happen the mods would escalate internally and take everything we have available to us into consideration.
Best,
Dominic
