How to change business name displayed on seller profile
Hi,
With the new amazon change now displaying business name and address, my full name and home address have been displayed on my profile as my business name and address and I need to change it. Can someone help me please? I am freaking out because it is bad enough someone can see your address but to see your full name and address is terrifying given the crazy world we live in these days.

You can easily change your business address by going to Settings > Account info > Business information > Business address.
Your business name is a bit trickier because it is tied to your tax info/legal entity. Are you an LLC?

I think the process (from what I’ve read) still wants the individual’s name if it is a single member LLC. Why, because for tax reasons, it is a disregarded entity.

As a single member LLC, is there any other way to get our personal names off the seller profile page? It just doesn’t make sense that Amazon is putting our name there when our business name is stated in the legal entity section. That’s the whole reason we are using an LLC, so we are not personally listed as the business.

This is one of the weirder things amazon has done. The business name is in the top right hand corner of the screen. Then, in the address area, it says “business name” followed by the seller’s legal name. The two names don’t match. In a high school Language Arts class, this would be marked down for inconsistency. It’s too bad that the powers that be didn’t listen to the concerns of us marketers about posting our addresses. While it’s true that a persistent person can find anybody’s address on the internet, amazon just made it a whole lot easier.

I am not happy that my full name and home address are in full display because I just received a phone call from a buyer. I was surprised that she found me because my phone number is not listed on the Seller Profile. She managed to find my phone number probably using my home address and last name (my phone number is registered in my husband’s name).
So now everyone could probably find out how old I am, who live in the same house with me, my family’s ages, possibly their occupations, and who knows what else. Plus, she may be able to find my Facebook profile and any social media accounts I may have.
I said this because a few years ago, a buyer messenged me through Facebook because I had included my full name on the package. I didn’t see his message till a few years later because apparently, it was easy to miss messages if you were not friend with that person.
This is all creepy and annoying. I do not need buyers to call me at home, at all hours of the day (since there’s a big time difference, they could call me at 4-5am my time). What should I do?
I did not answer this buyer’s call, so she left a voicemail. She didn’t have a complaint - she thanked me for the item, said she was happy and wanted to ask me if I have another item in stock. I do not understand why she could not just email me. With some customers who need lots of hand-holding and are high maintenance, this is BAD news. I may end up getting a lot of calls at home asking me to help them! This is my slow season and I have so far received one call. What’s going to happen when I sell more?

I went and took the tax interview, and put my “business name” in the spot I guess my REAL name was supposed to go. After I saved it - it said your info is currently being verified. Verified by who? And what will happen when the names don’t match. Will Amazon just have me redo the interview or WILL THEY SHUT MY ACCOUNT DOWN? I am going to call them in the morning, but I have had my account for YEARS - so I am not a new seller. I will change it back and just say forget that my name is being shown - but I am scared my account will be shut down because I entered the wrong info. If any one has any info on the tax interview - PLEASE LE ME KNOW! Thanks!
