Read onlyUnsure if this is a scam or not, but likely to be a potential loophole for scammers. Figured I’d alert sellers so you can make sure you use Buy Shipping.
Shipped out a $600 item insured, requires signature, Amazon Buy Shipping. Customer stated he didn’t receive the item, even though it was signed for. I’m thinking “another one of these?”
I requested delivery proof from USPS, and the signature has “CV-19” hand written with an illegible signature.
My guess is the postal worker signed it themselves, wrote CV-19, and left the package. It may be that the buyer asked them to leave it, left a note, or maybe wasn’t even home. Who knows?
I’m assuming Buy Shipping will cover this, or insurance will. I’ll be opening an investigation with the USPS.
Make sure you use Buy Shipping to protect yourself!
I have seen other posts on here about delivery companies not collecting signatures right now because of social distancing, so maybe that could be it?

@Miss_Meliss is right, all (? at least USPS and UPS, but I assume also FedEx) the carriers have authorized their delivery drivers to sign on behalf of the customer to avoid contact with them.
Just the fact that you used Buy Shipping alone should win you the A-Z when it gets filed.
Also, you have indisputable signature proof that the Covid 19 virus signed for the package.
