UNEXPECTED FNSKU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CASE ID: 17059471541

SO LIKE MANY OTHER SELLERS WE OPENED AN INVESTIGATION FOR MISSING INBOUND UNITS AND WE RECEIVED THE FOLLOWING REPLY

"Greetings from Fulfillment by Amazon,

My name is ******, I am part of the leadership team. I have reviewed the investigation for shipment ************ and found it to be accurate.

Thank you for your patience while we investigated your shipment. We realize that a quick resolution is important to your business.

Our research shows that the 70 units of FNSKU ********** that you sent with shipment ************ have arrived at our fulfillment center as an unexpected FNSKU when compared to your shipping plan. Unfortunately, we are unable to recover the physical inventory of the located item at this time, due to the error in shipment plan creation. We are unable to reimburse or reconcile the discrepancies you have asked to investigate for these items because of the error.

As part of the FBA inventory reimbursement policy, you are required to send the exact items and quantities stated in your shipping plan.

For more information, go to “FBA inventory reimbursement policy”:"

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT EXACTLY I AM SUPPOSED TO FIND IN THE LINK THEY PROVIDE

THIS IS INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ALREADY PROVIDED THEM WITH PROOF OF MY SHIPPING PLAN AND JUST KEEP GETTING THE SAME REPLY OVER AND OVER

Be careful, your selling behavior is very risky. Take a look at the following to mitigate your risk.

You have multiple major and minor brands listed that you do not own nor are an authorized representitive for. Some like Sony are very proactive in managing thier IP.

Your feedback is low at 57% over 30 days 71% over 12 months

As far as the inbound discrepancy, Amazon has stated the FNSKU is not on the shipping plan.

Shipping plan is a inaccurate word to use here. The Shipment ID is what needs to be looked at. The shipment ID will list the contents of the shipment.

Are you certain the FNSKU in question here is on the same shipment ID that they recieved.

I have an abundance of experiance with exactly this issue. In a typical month we submit more than a dozen cases for "missing from inbound" & "warehouse lost". I canot remember the last time one was denied. Our average monthly reimbursement is ~$1500 with some reimbirsement coming in the form of units.

There are multiple identifiers for inbound shipments.

The first is a workflow ID #, this is created when the workflow is created.

The second is the Shipment ID which is created when the "send to amazon" workflow is completed

The third is the refferance ID which is created at the same time as the shipment ID, I have not found a use for the refferance ID.

The shipment ID and Refferance ID are visable in the "manage shipments" menu under the shipment name. The shipment ID is also visable if you click on the shipment name in the manage shipment menu.

A loss of inventory that was sent in but not added to active inventory, this is call "missing from inbound"

A loss of inventory that was active inventory but removed from the inventory ledger for a reason other than an order is called "warehouse lost"

To manage these losses open a case for either "missing from inbound" or warehouse lost" with the FNSKU, the number of units missing and "Please investigate"

FYI, opening multiple cases for the same issue can be viewed as attempting to manipulate the case system and result in extreme delays.

If you did in fact send in inventory that was not on the shipping ID contents I do not know how to help as I have never done that. Only send in whats on the Shipment ID contents.

Numerous sellers are facing this new hurdle - this is clearly a new attempt by Amazon to not reimburse sellers.

We receive this exact message for our claims as of early January. It does not hold up to any scrutiny because they cannot answer what FNSKU they received the supposedly unexpected items as. So, how does that work, exactly? They cannot prove that the inventory was mislabeled, and also they lost it, but either way they are not liable? Seems totally legit.

We have concluded that they are doing this to kick the can down the road until March - which is when the new policy of only reimbursing manufacturer cost as opposed to sale price kicks in. Highly unethical and, I imagine, borderline illegal.

For your Case/Shipment, I asked our partner team to review the details and determine if there are any next steps available

FBA inventory reimbursement policy

Hello @Seller_tFn9PPoiyWNiW The section being referred to is "Eligibility," specifically:

For an item to be eligible under [FBA Reimbursement] policy...the following must be true: You have sent us the exact items and quantities stated in your shipping plan.

Makes you just want to punch a hole right through your computer screen. This is exactly why not to do FBA it is not worth the PTSD you will end up as Amazon bots and international child labor support does nothing to ever fix anything only anger you!
