Read onlyI recently had an order from Canada and I had to cancel it due to I have to pay all the duties and tax instead of buyer, as Amazon doesn't provide buyers email address for the shipping company to contact the buyer for the tax and custom duties..
It's just the opposite compared with selling on ebay or Etsy which buyers pays for import duties, it's so frustrating!..
Unlike other marketplaces, on Amazon, YOU are responsible for paying duties and taxes. The customer should never pay more than they pay you to receive the goods.
If this is not acceptable to you, you need to switch off sales to those destinations (as we have).
If you're on a Pro account, Amazon does supply an e-mail address.
Order Reports - Unshipped Orders. Only available prior to marking as despatched.
Canada's long been a pain. If you send by Courier they will want the GST/PST and charge a hefty collection fee. If sent by RM, Canada Post MAY want to collect it; it's a bit of a lottery.
I understand from Canadian sellers it's entirely up to the individual Customs Officer upon receipt as to whether or not GST is collected.
