Hello,
Our brand is seeking approval for GTIN exemption in a particular category.
The link to apply for GTIN exemption no longer works. We've tried using multiple browsers, clearing cache, etc., but it's a dead link every time. (https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gtinx/browser)
We've tried reaching out to Seller Support for assistance, but our request for exemption was denied, and they couldn't give us any information why. (See Case ID 16664400981)
Just curious if there's another path we can take to get approved for GTIN exemption?
We've been exempt from other categories before without any issues. Not sure why we're hitting a roadblock now.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!
I am not sure if this information page would be helpful. We usually apply per SKU during listing creation.
List products that do not have a Product ID (UPC, EAN, JAN or ISBN) [link]
But you know that your listing is very vulnerable if you create it without UPC from GS1? It can easily be attacked by hijackers.
Hi there @Seller_NJRTR59j0h9lh,
The steps linked by @Seller_Iq8G0IA7I69uO on how to List Products that don't have a product ID should be the current steps to get a GTIN Exemption. The process has changed and I think that link is tied to a process that was deprecated. If you follow the steps as you create your offer you should have the option to apply. Thank you for your understanding.
