I am having a problem with the new policy. While Amazon stated that sourcing costs would only be used for lost/damaged items before they are sold, they are not keeping to that policy. I have had several FBA returns that were stolen/swapped, and Amazon is only reimbursing sourcing costs and not the original order amount (minus the fees). This is a terrible error and will cause even further losses! Anyone else seeing this? Mods, please help!
Greetings,
The updated reimbursement policy applies to items lost or damaged during inbounding to our network, within our distribution and fulfillment networks, and removal back to your preferred address. Because you submitted your claims as a removal and warehouse lost, it was reimbursed under the new policy.
If you have additional information, or screenshots of the FBA return reimbursement being processed with the sourcing cost, please reply to me here!

Pure theft by the big guy... they are also doing this with Safe-T claims right now some total BS we had one where customer swapped out $100 item blamed a 6 year old and we were only refunded outgoing shipping. Amazon always does this when sales are slow they stop covering what they should in order to keep their revenue totals up by stealing from sellers.
I think what is happening is that Amazon is reimbursing the seller against the Removal Order ID, rather than the FBA Order ID. Therefore they are taking ownership of the item and reimbursing the sourcing cost. What a joke.
I think the ONLY scenario where you get the retail price minus FBA fees is when the customer claims the delivery of the order was lost. Amazon should make this clear, regardless of how stupid the policy is. At least let us clearly know how stupid the policy is rather than have us constantly guess how stupid the policy is.
It's "working" exactly how they (Amazon) wants it to. It's why I've moved like 95% of my small business to FBM.
