Automated Handling Time AHT and shiiping automation SSA

I am having issues with the AHT and SSA most of my items are under $10 I ship between 500 and 1000 packages daily across multiple venues. About half of that is on Amazon. Since they have started me with AHT and SSA about 25% of my orders that go across the country they are wanting me to spend more than my order on shipping, I was doing fine before they changed me. My shipping was set to two days although i ship every day and my metrics are great. But I am not spending sometimes twice my order total on shipping and have been using another service to ship these items (and they all get there on time) USPS ground advantage. The AHT and SSA does not account for small towns (especially in Texas for some reason) and Oregon Washington Nevada Arizona California and many others. i thought I would give AHT and SSA a chance but it is not working for me. At the moment I have 10 orders to ship that are not supposed to go out until monday and every single one the shipping is higher than the order. Printing these orders on another shipping service also takes alot of extra time that i dont have. So do I turn off the AHT and SSA (as 98% of packages are scanned at pick up and delivered on time) or is there something else i can do? I have no issues with my other sites i ship on as I get to choose my delivery method. Any help or suggestions would be apreciated

thank you

earlier today, USPS services were glitchy and a lot of people were complaining about not being able to purchase USPS Ground Advantage labels. Not sure if that is what you are seeing but just an FYI...

Despite Amazon's SSA policy stating that it will not require us to ship using more costly or faster methods than what we have set in our SSA shipping template, we have orders every day where Amazon states that they used USPS Ground to calculate the shipping, but then state that there is a late delivery risk and require us to ship FedEx Express, UPS 2 day or other methods that cost more than twice the amount we should be paying and sometimes more than the total cost of the item. We get those orders too where we are told that we have to deliver a package on the other side of the country in 2 days, yet a package being delivered in our own state has an estimated delivery date of 3-4 days.

I opened a case over a month ago about this and received a reply today, YES today. I was simply told

"Enabling SSA should not increase your costs or require you to use faster ship methods because SSA applies the carrier transit time based on the shipping service they have already used."

Then they went on to tell me how I can edit my shipping templates. This was a pointless response. I am already aware that it should not increase my costs or require us to ship using a faster method and my templates are fine. All of this is why I opened the case in the first place.

Long story short, they force you into doing something like signing up for SSA, AHT and Shipping services through Amazon, by telling you that if you do not , they will not protect your account and if you cannot keep up with an OTDR that they themselves cannot even pull off, they may suspend your account. You then sign up and they do not stand by their policies and when you contact support, they give you the runaround. You are forced to lose money or your account.

On top of this our OTDR is 99.9% and yet they still have a 5.1 day padding on my items. So no matter what you do, sign up for, or excel in, they will still find a way to make it hard.

I do feel that most of this is due to everything being automated, but still, Amazon knows about these issues and does nothing to fix them.

I am sorry Stop_Fighting_and_Ju, I cannot tell you what to do other than hang in there. What should be done, what policy says and what is right, is rarely what Amazon does. I have no clue what they do with all of those surveys that are put on the home page or email sellers with. Clearly they do not use them to improve.
