Product Removed due to Energy Star Compliance

Asking for assistance from a moderator on case: 15798911591 (Product Restriction Appeal) and case: 15951611431 (Product Description Update)

Case: 15798911591 - I've provided all documentation showing the product is in fact Energy Star compliant along with valid URL's to the Energy Star website. Provided all documentation requested in the appeal. Was denied 3 times.

This was my last and final attempt:

I am writing to appeal the deactivation of our product listing for the Soleusair WS4-06EW-201 room air conditioner (ASIN: B0CXTHHMGW, Amazon FNSKU: X004606BVN) due to alleged false claims concerning its Energy Star rating. This ASIN represents both models WS4-06EW-201 and FBA_WS4-06EW-201 (stocked in Amazon's DCs). I have attached three documents that provide conclusive evidence of our product's Energy Star certification and energy efficiency. Please review the following points:

Energy Star Certification Document (Soleusair_-_WS4-06EW-201-2022-05-19.pdf):

a. Clearly states "ENERGY STAR Certified: Yes"

b. ENERGY STAR Unique ID: 2373520

c. Model Number: WS4-06EW-201

d. Date Certified: 2020-08-14

e. Combined Energy Efficiency Ratio (CEER): 12.1

f. Uses 10.0% less energy than the US Federal Standard

Energy Efficiency Test Report (WS4-06EW TEST REPORT.pdf):

a. Model tested: WS4-06EW-201

b. Combined Energy Efficiency Ratio (CEER): 12.22 BTU/h·W (average of three samples)

c. Exceeds Federal standard of 11.0 BTU/h·W

Energy Guide Label (6K带WIFI能效标签.pdf):

a. Model: WS4-06EW-201

b. Combined Energy Efficiency Ratio: 11.0

c. Estimated Yearly Energy Cost: $47

The Energy Star certification document conclusively proves that our product is Energy Star certified. The test report supports this certification with detailed efficiency data, and the Energy Guide label provides the federally required efficiency information for consumers.

In good faith, and to facilitate a quick resolution of this matter, we have removed any mention of Energy Star from the product detail page (title, description, bullet points, and images). Please note that these changes were made less than 24 hours ago and may not yet be reflected in Amazon's systems.

Case: 15951611431 - In good faith I removed the Energy Star from the PDP. The Product Title has been updated. The Bullets never mentioned Energy Star. The Images have never mentioned Energy Star. I created this case to get the the Product Description updated. The Product Description has been updated and accepted within our catalog but the update has not been recognized (going on 7 days) and updated on the "Live" Amazon PDP page (Maybe because the listing is removed). I not only did this update by editing the PDP but I also uploaded the catalog file. The manual and packaging have never mentioned Energy Star and provided all that documentation. There are no listings on Vendor. We are the Brand Registered owner and "should" be the main contributor for all PDP related information. I reference this case as it was quickly connected to the first and was denied an "Appeal", which I wasn't making.. I was simply trying to get Energy Star removed from the Product Description as I "think" this is the last domino that has to fall in order to get the product re-listed..

Any assistance is appreciated. @Joey_Amazon or any other moderator.. Regards

Greetings @Seller_5XuRfY8fjnap5,

Thank you for your continued efforts to resolve this issue. I understand your frustration, as you have provided what you believe to be conclusive evidence of your product's ENERGY STAR certification.

The fact that your appeal has been denied multiple times suggests that Amazon may still be missing some critical information or documentation to verify the current ENERGY STAR status of your product. Even though you have provided the initial documentation, there may be additional requirements or details that Amazon needs to fully evaluate and reinstate your listing(s).

This could mean that:

  1. The ENERGY STAR certification you previously provided may have expired or been revoked, and you need to supply more recent proof of active certification.
  2. There may be discrepancies or inconsistencies between the documentation you've submitted and Amazon's own records or verification processes.
  3. Amazon may require additional details or test results beyond what you've already provided to fully validate the product's energy efficiency claims.

To resolve this, I would suggest the following steps:

  1. Carefully review all of the feedback and reasons provided by Amazon in the previous denials. Look for any specific items or details they are requesting that you haven't supplied yet.
  2. Reach out to the ENERGY STAR program directly to obtain the most up-to-date certification documentation for your product model. Ensure this is the information Amazon is looking for.
  3. If there are any other test reports, product specifications, or supporting materials you can provide to further demonstrate your product's compliance, please include those in your next appeal.
  4. Completely remove any and all mentions of ENERGY STAR certification or the ENERGY STAR logo from your product listings, including the title, description, bullet points, and images. Ensure your listings do not make any claims about ENERGY STAR qualification.
  5. If the ENERGY STAR claims or logo are present on the actual product packaging, this ASIN cannot be reinstated, as Amazon's policy prohibits the sale of products with misleading representations.
  6. If you firmly believe the determination is incorrect because this product is genuinely ENERGY STAR certified, you must provide clear, up-to-date proof of the current ENERGY STAR certification from the program.

Only after you have completed these steps should you contact Seller Support to appeal the deactivation of your listing(s). Amazon will then review the updated information and make a determination on the reinstatement of your ASIN(s).

Visit the page Prohibited product claims for more information.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. I'm happy to continue providing guidance as you work through this process.

Best regards,

-Roxy
