Hello,
We’re currently facing an issue with one of our product listings, which has been flagged with the following error:
“Remove any non-compliant mark-up from attribute [item_description] to ensure your data meets Amazon's guidelines: Don’t use HTML, JavaScript, or other types of code in your product detail pages.”
This product has been live and performing well without any compliance issues for an extended period, and we have not made any recent changes to its description or formatting.
To resolve this issue, we have:
Carefully reviewed the product description to ensure it contains no HTML, JavaScript, or prohibited formatting.
Cleaned and re-uploaded the description in plain text format.
Waited over 48 hours for the system to process the updates.
Despite these efforts, the error persists, and the listing remains suppressed, directly affecting our sales performance.
We believe this might be a system error or a misflagging issue, as everything appears compliant on our end.
Could you please assist us in identifying the specific content or element triggering this error? Any insights, steps, or recommendations for resolving this issue quickly would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your attention and support on this matter. We look forward to your guidance in reinstating our listing as soon as possible.

Hi @Seller_fn1sE47XHphMS,
If you're comfortable sharing the ASIN, other sellers in the community might be able to take a look and help identify what's triggering the error.
In the meantime, one suggestion would be to try copying your description text into a basic text editor (like Notepad) first, which will strip out any hidden formatting, and then paste that clean text back into the listing. Sometimes there can be invisible markup characters that aren't obvious but still trigger these errors.
Hope this helps! Let us know if you'd like the community to take a closer look at your specific listing.
Best regards, Michael
