Read onlyJust had one of these show up in my dashboard today. Order was about 4 months ago. 3 months ago we received a performance notification (at bottom of this message). There is an option to “appeal”.
Hello,
We received buyer complaints about the condition of an item they received from you, which is listed at the end of this email. Your listings are still active.
We would like you to resolve these concerns in order to avoid additional
Broken chain of custody = Counterfeit.
If you are doing Retail arbitrage well, you kinda made your own problem. Send me a shelf worn box with sticker residue on it and see what happens. Folks are fed up with getting shelf worn discount items sold as new. Would you like me to dupe you like that?
This is just a warning so nothing you need to do.
Amazon is telling you that if they receive further similar complaints than they will take action.
Going forward, make sure you list the item under the correct condition.
When grading condition, be conservative.

You might want to double check your product (Take pictures…). Also CALL Amazon on the phone and report the Buyer(s) to Buyer Abuse…Some people do this for a living. Although Amazon won’t tell you the results (Which we think is pretty tacky) Amazon can remove these customers if they have a long history of doing this to other sellers. ALL sellers need to do this to buyers who make false claims…Save the rest of us Sellers because it’s not fair! Even Amazon has made mistakes, Oh! that’s right they (Amazon) don’t have a ‘Customer Feedback’ for themselves (Things they don’t want the world to see)…We all make mistakes!
I want to know what you’re supposed to do about those absolutely incompetent customers who purchase things USED and then they complain that they bought it New? Those brain dead people can get good sellers shut down for no reason. Also, what the hell is up with chargebacks? 99% of chargebacks are from customers who either received a refund already or they’ve had their item for MONTHS and decide to do a chargeback?
I swear, I wish we could block 80% of the Amazon buyers like you can on eBay.
I just had one of these issues.
Post the entire communication with ASINs in a clear and easy to read format.
I have successfully resolved numerous of these.
What a coincidence, today i sent and email to support today about and item than 1 customer saidit was used and guess what, after i explained them that i buymy products directly from the supplier, showed them proof of purchase and after the reviewed my item fisically they still get that product in Product Condition Customer Complaints at a risk of being remove from my listing…
just today i asked them to remove this from my performance, im still waiting for them to get in touch with me.
Good luck
