Learn about the new California Energy Commission registration requirements during an Ask Amazon event

In California, certain products must meet minimum efficiency requirements determined by the California Energy Commission (CEC). Sellers of these products must also register them in the Modernized Appliance Efficiency Database (MAEDBS).

At an Ask Amazon event on November 17, community managers and product assurance experts will answer questions about this two-step compliance process. You will learn about recently updated CEC registration requirements for lighting products, pool products and portable spa products, portable air conditioners, computers, and monitors.

If your products require CEC compliance, you will receive an email with more information, before the event.

Join us from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (PT) on our US seller forums .

Note: We can’t provide legal advice or otherwise interpret regulatory requirements on situations that are specific to individual sellers.

Thanks. I’ve been asking Seller Support question and they know nothing about this.

I received the email notifying us that some of our ASINs will be affected and would require a CEC standard. However, the link at the bottom of the email downloaded a list of ASINs that are not ours. How would I be able to find the correct list of affected ASINs?

I received the email, but I don’t know what to do. Do I need to find a professional organization to do the CEC certificate and upload it?
