Restricted Product Policy Violations

I have received a restricted product violation; however, the product is not a restricted item and has been incorrectly identified. It is a Bluetooth FM transmitter for cars and used for charging cell phones, hands-free calling and listening music from phone or a USB flush drive. I listed this product as a generic and then bought GTIN to list it as a branded item and now I have received a Restricted Product Policy Violations. I repeated submitted appeal along with the product images and compliance certificates to solve this issue but so for no luck.

Any help to resolve this issue?

I understand that our team did request more information regarding the specific certification associated to the product. From the information available, there are concerns regarding the labeling of the certification on the product. Have you provided images that show the certification labels on the product?

To remain compliant in the Canada marketplace, the product must be properly labelled so that the certifications are also being communicated to the customer. If this cannot be verified, our team cannot remove the restrictions associated even with the documents.

The trouble is that the majority of Amazon seller support employees do not understand the rules and policies themselves. But they will never accept that they are wrong and you can go round and round and round and round in circles trying to sort things out. It matters not how much or how carefully you explain in you responses to seller support because most of the time they DO NOT READ what you have said and they just send out the same, standard reply which no doubt keep their performance metrics high while being of absolutely no use to sellers.

There are one or two seller support employees that DO KNOW what they are talking about and if you find one who actually helps you, do NOT do what I did.

I had 5 ASINs listed as having policy violations. For some reason I do not understand, they were broken down into 2 separate violations. Fortunately for me, the first violations was soon resolved and the listings were activated again. I had found the rare seller support employee that actually knows what they are talking about! Unfortunately, the second violation, which was EXACTLY the same as the first one, was handled by clueless seller support staff who drove me crazy. The MISTAKE I made after going round in circles numerous times was to suggest they speak to their colleagues who had sorted out my first violation as they knew what they were talking about - BIG MISTAKE. They were NOT IMPRESSED and even threatened to look again at my first violation that had been resolved!! They ran me ragged and even accused me of using images in my listings that violated policy. The images were NOT USED ANYWHERE any of the ASINs concerned. Despite explaining this to them numerous times, they kept telling me it was!! Yes indeed, there was NO WAY they were going to let those listings get activated again and so I gave up and deleted them. Yet they continued to tell me they were in violation and that I should send them the information they requested!!
